Living this little life the best way I can…☮️&💙

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

--- RECEPTION: Catherine Labbé: Where My Mind Wanders: New Paintings and Collage.

Wilkinson ART Gallery

Saturday July 18, 2026, from 7 until 9 pm.

The exhibition runs through August 15, 2026, and is free to the public.

This work looks at ecosystems surrounding us, especially inspired by visits to western states.

Beetles, plant forms, and natural patterns are registered in our minds as richly layered compositions in paintings and collage, from small works to mid-size and larger acrylics on panel and canvas.

What attracts me to Catherine's work is her ability to translate natural forms into a visual scape that's full of texture, detail and energy. These paintings claim your attention.

If you've followed Catherine's work over the years, this will be an essential catch-up and refresher with Catherine, and your best chance to see her most recent work.

image: Shoo Fly. A small work (mixed media collage).

Wilkinson ART Gallery is located at 39 Blair Street, Greenville SC 29607, in a downtown residential area of Greenville, near Cleveland Park. Convenient curbside parking with no parking fees.

Regular Hours: Tuesday-Friday 1:00-6:00 PM, Saturdays 1:00-4:00 PM. Closed Sundays and Mondays.

This weekend reminded me how meaningful it is to gather people in beautiful spaces.

One of my favorite things about Wilder is watching how plants bring people together — around tables, porches, gardens, kitchens, and living rooms. This weekend felt like such a beautiful reminder of that.

Thank you for continuing to support this little dream of mine in all the ways you do — whether you stop into the shop every week, share our posts, come to events, or simply follow along here. I’m incredibly grateful for this community. 🌿

So many of you have recommended this book that I couldn’t wait any longer to get it. So far it does not disappoint! #rickrubin #thecreativeact. I love a book with short chapters. Finishing each one gives me a chance to contemplate each “area of thought” before moving to the next. (Or maybe it helps with my short attention span😂)
