Falling for him was never part of the plan...

Lia Mercato has everything under control: her career as an artist, her social media following, and especially her maid of honor duties for the wedding of her two best friends, Andy and Sophie. The one thing she can’t control? The best man.

Owen Walsh is everything Lia hates: a sellout corporate lawyer with an infuriatingly gorgeous, know-it-all smirk. But it isn’t only that. He always seems to be letting Andy down, and Lia has no time for anyone who fails the people she loves – however gorgeous he might be.

But as they’re forced together preparing for this wedding, Lia starts to see there might be more beneath the surface of Owen’s immaculate suits. And there might be a very good reason he’s flitted in and out of Andy’s life for years. Lia knows about secrets after all, and the scars they leave behind.

As their worlds collide, the harder it is to ignore their growing attraction to each other... until they can’t anymore. It’s only a fling Lia tells herself. But when someone from Lia’s past reappears, Lia and Owen must face the truth: could they possibly be falling in love?

For the last few years, people keep asking if I'm going to @developconference, and I finally did it! But not without kidnapping @robinliewharper first 😏

I had a fantastic time Catching up with friends and meeting new people, Crashing cars, Attending Spontaneously&Late the ADHD in Games Meetup with @barry_ring_actor (Is there anything more ADHD than that?), Learning what's happening outside my padded room and Throwing in a touristy treat for good measure! 😎

A crazy bonus was the very random happenstance of meeting @danpugsley who lives right by me!

Also, as a neurodivergent who struggles with a standard gaming keyboard, I loved discovering the accessible gaming charity: @specialeffectteam I noticed initially the Azeron keypad on display (which is what I use as I find a normal keyboard difficult on my hands).

They had a racing game available which was controlled purely by your eye movement - left/right, Speed up and down.

This was an interesting challenge as I realise how little control I have over my eyes, particularly as I'm wanting to keep my eyes on where I'm going, but also needing to move them to different parts of the screen to control the car.

Thank you Robin for suffering me, and I can't wait for the next one! 👾

Develop 2026! You have been beyond any of our expectations. Roasting hot, ridiculously entertaining, a powerhouse of knowledge and the most incredible and passionate people in all aspects of the video game industry. I got to see what is possible from the next generation of developers in university, all the way up to indie companies pouring their heart and soul into awesome games that are just so good to play. A huge shout out to @dominicq09 @bethfrigot @caz_n_ and @tegan_mordt for taking a gamble on joining me with absolutely no idea what it was about other than trusting me that their lives will never be the same again. Also seeing and spending time with my family from both @auderetalent and @voicefox_voiceover_agency was a real surprise and yes, I got extremely drunk with them all practically every night 😅 sorry @jamieaudere @emiloufox also to everyone that made my birthday on Thursday feel extremely special, especially the impromptu sing along in the middle of the street and then the following day fronted by the tornado which is @annacassvoice I don’t think I could have escaped that one if I tried, all of Brighton knew by the end of the day 😂 you are all the most amazing people, friends, family and community in VO and video games, may this long continue and get more insane as each year comes around. Big love 🖤

Develop:Brighton was amazing - genuinely felt like I was on a seaside holiday with almost my entire friend group! I'll definitely be back next year 💙 I also met some amazing people, and will be sure to reconnect with everyone after I sleep this entire weekend away 💀💤

Didn't end up taking as many photos as I wanted to, on account of being too busy taking everything in!

I’m finally back home with the family! And after a decent nights rest (finally) i had a couple things to say.

Firstly a big thank you to @voicefox_voiceover_agency for letting me take part in the fox hunt, and continuing to support me in this industry, it was unbelievably fun🦊❤️

Secondly a big thank you to friends (old and new) and peers who made the experience so enjoyable and welcoming. (Including @wincottandrew who let me get a photo for victoria )

Lastly, the biggest thank you to my beautiful wife @victoriamcnaught_ who without her continued support and love this job would never have been possible for someone like me❤️
