Works by Gerard Sekoto and Robin Rhode @robinrhodeofficial impress @zeitzmocaa. I have never seen the incredible paintings of Sekoto, titled Le Massacre de Sharpeville / Sharpeville Massacre. Painted in 1960. So expressive and dramatic- set off against the blood red walls. History Unfolding …. Now is a glimpse into our past with fresh insight in the present. With very striking narratives exhibited in adjoining rooms that complement the entire experience.

From the terrace of DAS MINSK, visitors have a unique view of Robin Rhode’s site-specific mural "Der Botanische Garten" [The Botanical Garden], which has adorned the southern facade of the blu Sport- und Freizeitbad since May 2025.

Abstract floral forms unfold in various shades of blue, inspired by Goethe’s text "The Metamorphosis of Plants" (1790). South African medicinal plants meet Potsdam’s botanical and cultural history. Figures developed on site during the creation of the work seem to playfully move through the painted garden.

With "Der Botanische Garten" [The Botanical Garden], Rhode brings together nature, transformation and cultural exchange, while also reshaping the view of Potsdam’s cityscape.

Discover more about the work and the other permanent artworks in and around DAS MINSK on our guided tour exploring the art and history of the building.

@ThePowerPlantTO’s biiig season with Colourful Parachutes comes to a close .ᐟ.ᐟ

✎ ◛ ⸝⸝⋆°˖➴
It wasn’t an easy journey over the past seven months to get here. Thank you to everyone who came together and supported me along the way. It was such a pleasure to see the gallery come alive with adults and kids giggling and enjoying the art throughout the season. This was made possible by so much hard work and dedication of the entire team — from installation technicians to gallery attendants. I hope the joy you found here stays with you for a little while.
