So... We're dropping one!! Our brand new single, All These Pretty Things (I Fear) will be available from October 2nd 2026 via @bandcamp Stick it in your Reminders. We'll link you soon! This has been a long time coming and we thank you a tonne for sticking with us and having our backs through our silence and gradual venture back into playing live. Those that have seen us during the Summer would have heard a sneak peak of this new single. Let us know what you think below. We think it's a catchy little bugger and hope it becomes as much of an earworm for you as it has us writing and recording it. Thank you as always to @Dirty Carrot Records, Newport, for sticking with us and supporting us too. Thank you as always to Michael Gustavius Payne for allowing us to continually use his artwork to represent our visual vision. The out of the blue countdown begins... Tick. Tock. Tick. Tick...

A sneak little 30 mins recording of acoustic guitar this afternoon for a new recording that's been years in the making. For a long time there's been a track I wrote that's always hit the right spot for me in my song writing. It was in part inspired by a song my friend (David 'Dot' Thomas) sang which surrounded the saddening and sickening disaster in Aberfan, of October 1966. 50 years ago... This disaster killed 116 children and 28 adults as it engulfed Pantglas Junior School and a row of houses. Living in the South Wales Valleys the story of this event hung heavy over me as a young child, and they continued to haunt me. When I delivered newspapers a decade or so later the Western Mail would commemorate these lives, and interview surviving members of the disaster, and direct family members. Life and death are just one moment away from each other, and the tragic passing of such young lives have left behind such ripples of grief forever more to the communities, the families and the surrounding Valleys. One of the first lyrics I wrote was ".. to turn a paper boy to stone", and I called the song 'Granite'. Over the years I've played it stripped back acoustic, and one of the biggest honours was when Cameron Pyke, an open mic musician and now good friend, said how much he liked it and we played an impromptu version with him taking lead guitar duties. We later recorded a live demo version in house Barn and I promised that one day we'd record it with him taking lead guitar duties and we'd make it big. So... Fast forward to today and we're still making it big, and hopefully it will be included as one of our forthcoming releases. In tribute 💚💚💚 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aberfan_disaster

Friday Nights used to be spent in the Pub, going to a gig, watching the latest movie release, spending all my cash, and others, on the highest percentage of alcohol consumption in the shortest amount of time... When did it become considering whether -0.4 decibels should be placed on a random 1.73 second noise that goes "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeehh!" on the latest dunkie track? @Robot Recordings #fridaynights @dirtycarrotrecords

Yesterday we spent about 8 hrs in the studio recording more songs for the next dunkie EP/LP... There's been a burst of productivity this month or so and we're charged to get new stuff released within the next couple of months. Maybe a few exclusive new singles, an EP (or two) or an album... Either way they'll each be coming out via @dirtycarrotrecs so keep your eyes peeled and switch your notifications. This is gonna be really something special for us after such a long hiatus of new material. Hopefully more gigs planned too. Thank you for waiting patiently and having our backs during the dry spell too. Your words of support and feedback haven't gone amiss x BTW... We're having fun, and that's a previous thing 💚💚💚 #newmusic #wales
