CARDIFF!
Metallica’s last concert in Wales is nearby 30 years ago - till Sunday.
Metallica played in the Sold Out Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
To be honest - I had not the best place - and still it was one of the best concerts on this Tour.
Why? Because of the Setlist?
No! Because of the Metallica Family. We tried to get friend of us (Derek) a Drumstick - and succeeded!
It started with 5 of us - and ended with hundred of strangers who were shouting „Derek! Derek!“
Lars noticed the signs, he noticed the Voice and asked „Who are these people?“ The answer was short, concise and on point: „Family“.

Thanks for a unforgettable Night!
Concert Nr. 14 from 16 in the books - London, you are next!

The climactic #JusticeForDerek moment of the #M72WorldTour sparked by @toyaoderso and @daniel_van_lier

After nearly 40 shows across decades, we rallied to help Ireland’s No. 1 Metallica fan @metheadie finally get a drumstick from the legendary @larsulrich

Right before recording, I started chanting “Derek! Derek! Derek!”

Seconds later, 100 strong, most who didn’t even know the lad, joined in!

Then Lars heard the battle cry, saw the signs, and said something all of us there will carry to the end of our days:

“Who are all these people?!”

Simple answer:

The Family.

The #MetallicaFamily really is the best group of strangers you could ever hope to meet. A powerful reminder of what our world is missing today. Just a little camaraderie, kindness, and love ♥️

We cut the posts from the Customer’s supplied timber. The customer routed the grooves and added the lights for effect. @robstew666 👏🏼
