Dear Softball,

Thank you for giving me some of the best memories of my life over the past 18 years. You made my childhood dreams come true. Through countless hours of practice, long drives to tournaments, and weekends spent on the dirt, I wouldn’t have changed a single thing.

You challenged me in more ways than I could have ever imagined. Because of you, I can walk away from this game stronger mentally, physically, and emotionally. You taught me how to overcome adversity with grace, resilience, and selflessness, lessons I’ll carry with me forever.

To all of my coaches at Toro Softball, Salinas Storm, Salinas High, and Santa Clara, thank you for impacting my life in ways you may never fully realize. You helped shape me into the person I am today, and I will always be grateful for your guidance, belief, and support.

To my teammates, thank you for being such an important part of this journey. Thank you for all the laughs, the tough losses, and the unforgettable wins. Thank you for pushing me to be better every single day and for becoming so much more than teammates. Some of my favorite memories and strongest friendships came from sharing the field with all of you.

To my family, thank you for allowing me to live out my dream. Thank you for standing by my side through every high and low, for loving me regardless of the outcome on the field, and for having me to pick up a bat and ball at three. My experiences would not be the same without all of you.

This is the end of a chapter, one that will always hold a special place in my heart. Softball, I will forever be grateful for everything you gave me and everything you taught me about myself along the way.

Here’s to you, #2.
