With Jayden James and Levi Haines now not wrestling for The Nittany Lions this upcoming season, let’s take an early look at Penn State’s updated, projected starting lineup for the upcoming 2026 - 2027 collegiate season. Ultimately, the lineup will feature a mix of familiar faces, last year’s redshirts, and a few weight changes. To highlight a few of the big changes, Japan’s Senior World Champion Ono will most likely be the starter at 133 pounds this season, meaning USA’s Senior World Team Member Marcus Blaze will move up to 141 pounds and challenge Braeden Davis. In addition, Mitchell Mesenbrink will likely be making the move up to 174 pounds, with PJ Duke then making the move up to 165 pounds. With all this being said, Penn State’s Tyler Kasak will be back and likely start at 157 pounds. The Nittany Lions are looking to build on last season’s first-place finish at The NCAA Championships, where the team put eight All Americans on the podium.

What do y’all think about this squad? Does Penn State finish with more points than last season? Drop any thoughts of questions in the comments.
