As I enter my final days with Dr. Piazza and The Piazza Center, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude for a chapter that has shaped so much of who I am.

For 16 years, The Piazza Center has been far more than a place where I worked. It has been home. It has been a place where I found purpose, where I was able to do what I love most, and, at times, a refuge from the challenges life inevitably brings. Within those walls, I grew up in so many ways. I built a career I am incredibly proud of, but even more importantly, I built relationships that have become some of the most meaningful and precious of my life.

Dr. Piazza gave me something I will forever be grateful for: space to grow. He gave me the freedom to find my strengths, make mistakes, take risks, dream bigger, and become not only a better nurse, but a better person.

He challenged me. He believed in me. He continued to raise the bar. And when things were difficult, he ran into the fire with me rather than away.

There is no question that Dr. Piazza has been the most influential person in my career. What we built together over the years will always be one of my greatest sources of pride. There are simply not enough words to adequately thank someone who has had such a profound impact on the trajectory of your life. I hope he knows that I will carry his mentorship, his friendship, and everything he taught me into every chapter that follows.

To the Piazza family- Rockey, Linda, Ani, and Ally…thank you for making me one of your own. You welcomed me, supported me, celebrated me, and were generous with me through so many seasons of life. You were there for milestones both big and small, and your love and support extended far beyond the walls of the practice. We walked through many chapters of life together and I cherish every memory that wove us together.

I have learned that sometimes God calls us toward a path we did not expect, and sometimes the greatest act of faith is simply being willing to listen. I have resisted change and at times, tried to outrun it. But ultimately, I know I am being called toward something new. I am choosing to honor that calling with faith, gratitude, and an open heart.
