POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We did a farewell tour for mom. Took her home to the city she loved where she was born and raised. We toured all her favorite spots and left a tiny trail of her, honoring her life and its landmark moments along the way. From the Buckingham Fountain that my great grandfather helped build, to her childhood home in Brookfield, to Loyola University, to Cook County Hospital, where she worked as a nurse, to the Drake Hotel, where we stayed, the same hotel where my parents celebrated their wedding, to Wriggly Field where we watched the Cubbies as kids to the Chicago Tribune building, Soldier Field, Navy Pier, Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. There is a soul connection I have to this city. My great grand parents arrived here in the 1800's from Italy and later my grandfather from the Philippines. I felt a presence with us the whole time, protective and seen yet also revealing, as if I were in a bubble. I have lived many lives since my childhood days spent exploring this town with my grandparents. I know I will return. There is so much to love here.
Thank you @roccopolanco for taking the time and sharing this with me. You're an angel.
I Love you Mom ❤️ and I will forever love your city.

⭐️ ONE YEAR OF DECKHAND ⭐️

It’s officially been one year since the opening of DECKHAND! This has been the most amazing ride alongside some of the best people and I am feeling rather reflective.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the project by either donating or by showing up in person. I love you!!!

It’s so surreal that just one year ago we were sharing this with audiences for the first time (depicted in video above) and now we’re heading to EDINBURGH FRINGE in just a short few months.

I grew up on boats and this feels like an explosive love letter to my upbringing and the person my family raised me to be. I cannot wait to share this with Fringe audiences again.

I love this show, I love what it’s brought to my life. Namely a closer working relationship to my creative lighthouse @wylieanderson

If you’re interested in supporting the project, the crowdfunding link is in my bio! Keep your eyes peeled for more LA dates prior to our trip across the pond. ⛴️🛟☀️ #edinburghfringe #mixitup #fringefestival #fringe
