POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My “Kinda Chic“ list. I hope I’m not too late for this but coming up with phrases and creating the post takes time when you do it yourself and not a robot.

Which statement do you agree with?

Kinda Chic…
✨ to support artists while they are still alive.
✨ to buy original art
✨ to celebrate and capture small moments
✨ to commission bespoke portraits
✨ to make loved ones feel truly seen through thoughtful, personalized gifts
✨ to frame memories instead of storing them on your phone
✨ to have ‚giving/making art‘ as a love language
✨ to spend 10-40 hours creating something beautiful for someone else
✨ to invest in slow and intentional craftsmanship
✨ to turn memories into heirlooms
✨ to notice the small details
✨ to add art that feels personal and not generic to your home
✨ to own portraits that last generations
✨ to support handmade over factory-made
✨ to add handwritten notes

11 (almost 12) months.

You took your last overnight feed five nights ago.

You started sleeping through the night two nights ago.

You say more than 15 words—
or sounds that want to be words.
I’ve lost count.

You have teeth!
You love salmon, Greek yogurt, tomatoes,
strawberries, and mama’s leche.

You cuddle your doll and your stuffed dog,
jam at music class,
light up at the park,
ride proud in your baby carrito.

Your favorite books?
El Camioncito Azul, Peekaboo Baby,
and anything with animals.

You are so tender.
You give the best hugs.
We co-slept for six whole months—
I can’t lie, I miss you in my bed.

I still can’t bear to hear you cry.
Does that ever change?

My sweet love,
I want to remember everything—
every detail of your little life so far.

You’ve turned me inside out,
because now—
my heart lives outside my body.

Carmencita, that’s you. 💜
