Words cannot express the joy of having been baptized, for: “even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:5-6 NKJV).

♥️ holy week 🤍 Can you imagine it? His entire life, he knew *this* was the week he was building toward during his human experience.
Every moment, every breath was to bring him here.

Jesus knows that crucifixion is coming, he knows betrayal is around the corner. His closest friends will abandon him and deny they know him. He will face immense criticism, rejection, humiliation, and brutal punishment.

Though fully God, he was still fully man. And either way, I can’t help but think his human heart must be breaking as the days of this week unfold...

He kneels and washes the feet of the disciples, including the one that will betray him.
Though fully man, he was still fully God.
He serves each one with tender care, even the one who will sell him into an excruciating death.

He breaks the bread and shares it with him, knowing and openly calling him out on it. (Matthew 26:21-25, John 13:21-29) Soon his betrayer will leave to collect a bag of coins, only to return and hand Jesus over with a friendly greeting, a kiss upon calling him Rabbi one last time. (Mark 14:44-45)
In response to this greeting, Jesus calls him “ἑταῖρος”- friend. (Matthew 26:50).

“Even my close friend, someone I trusted, has failed me. I even shared my bread with him.” Psalm‬ ‭41:9‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

Perhaps this week, we can make space to quiet the noise.

Making space to contemplate the courage and discipline Jesus exercised in these moments of his last human days. I want to pause and reflect and consider the incredible amount of willpower it must’ve taken to continue cross-ward knowing the agony ahead, and experiencing such intimate betrayal along the way.

How precious and weighty and overwhelming — Jesus loves you that much... and much, much more is still to come: of his love and his plan for life for you. #holyweek

Thankful to be in a church where my kiddo is thriving, wants to go every week, and is so cared for. This is his buddy and to say that little J loves Mr. Greg is an understatement! Thankful the Lord brought us here and for the way all the teachers love my kiddo and that he has a place where he truly belongs. My heart overflows with thankfulness! ❤️

In absolute awe of this weekend.
Watching the Lord move in the hearts of these girls and getting to walk alongside them in their faith has been such a sweet gift. My heart is overflowing with gratitude 🤍

To God be the glory, always.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas 🎄Ours consisted of a little singing, a little candlelight, a tiny burger and fries, a sprinkle of sickness, a medium plus amount of sweets, and a whole lot of love and gratitude ❤️
