Grand risings, beloveds. ☀️🖤

This is the part of Chicago the news don’t advertise often. The Chicago that builds, loves, celebrates, creates, protects, and shows up.

And Ofc We didn’t dance for money this weekend 😂— We danced for freedom, liberty & justice for ALL✊🏾

BLACK REPRESENTATION MATTERS. Our babies deserve to see themselves represented in joy, in leadership, in creativity, and in community.

We sent these babies back to school on a HIGH note! 🎒🏾📚✨

I'm trying not to terrorize y'all timeline with HELLA CONTENT because BABYYYY… we had a time 😂🔥

BLACK REPRESENTATION IN MEDIA MATTERS. Period. 🖤

And that’s exactly what these multidisciplinary production and media companies came to do — they understood the assignment. 🎥📸🏾

Thank you for capturing these moments, these people, and this community with intention.

Honestly, building a production team is so much harder than it looks. But I believe God sent the right beings, with the right heart posture, to help revive how Indigenous Black America is represented, documented, celebrated, and remembered through media.

We deserve to see ourselves with dignity, joy, excellence, culture, and truth.

This is bigger than content.

We’re building the archive. We’re telling our own story. And we’re just getting started. 🖤✊🏾

Help my book reach millions!!!!

Just a year ago! My self-published manga The Magical Adventures of Synesthesia A Grand Adventure Volume 1 was featured on @wgnnews @spotlightwgn . I'm one of the first black manga authors to be highlighted on the show and in history to create a manga centered on synesthesia!!!

I'm so thankful for this moment!

Special thanks to @jesseparks1 , The One Nimbus and Barlume.

The Magical Adventures of Synesthesia A Grand Adventure Volume 1 is available in print & digital on Big Cartel.

It's summertime, Chi babyyyy! 🌞

Listen...the world is WORLDING right now. Wars, genocides, food shortages, rent due on the 1st, politicians politicking, and explosive diarrhea somewhere in the universe. Baby, we've all been THROUGH IT.

That's why community matters.

Let's send our babies back to school wrapped in love, laughter, and support at the 46th & Vincennes Block Club's Back to School Block Party!

Pull up for:
• FREE book bags
• FREE food
• Vendors
• Open Mic & Jam Session
• Games & prizes
• Music, community, and good vibes all day long!

Shout out to all of our amazing sponsors, volunteers, and neighbors helping make this happen. In times like these, community isn't just important—it's revolutionary.

SAVE THE DATE! Bring the family, tell a friend, and meet us outside. We can't wait to see you!
