Loving my wife and our family! Chasing wild game and classic vehicles!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m Larry, by the way. Clearly operating a feather or two above average.

Average ravens have the intelligence of a7 year old, can solve multi step problems and use tools to do it. We can recognize a human face and hold a serious grudge, and if we are really mad, we’ll tell the murder and they’ll all be mad at you too.

While other wild ravens are rummaging through trash cans and arguing over roadkill, I’ve trained two humans to provide transportation, homemade snacks, entertainment, and five-star accommodations. They even pretend these arrangements are their idea.

Adorable.

There’s a rumor in the murder that I’m becoming domesticated. How special.

I call it working smarter and outsourcing the less glamorous side of wildlife. Who’s the dummy now?

JUST AN OBSERVATION.

Larry would like to speak to the manager. 😡🤬🐦‍⬛

This crazy a$$ bird. Larry throws temper tantrums like this regularly, but never when I have my phone nearby.

Today I caught the tail end of it before he went off to pout under the tree.

This bird is something else, I’ll tell ya.

Larry has apparently checked into a five-star resort with spa privileges.

Raising a baby crow has been one of the funniest wildlife adventures we’ve ever had. Every day he teaches us something new about crow intelligence, bird behavior, and apparently… luxury living.

Lil Larry’s snack schedule waits for no one.
🐦‍⬛⏰ 🖤

Baby crow Larry has perfected the art of reminding me when it’s feeding time.

Bougie bird life is equal parts adorable and demanding.

Lil Larry the baby crow has discovered the best part of being in supervision-
… watching everyone else work.
🤦🏼‍♀️🐦‍⬛🖤

Larry *briefly* supervised the gardeners who were here cleaning his house. Safe to say he’s acclimated to management life very quickly.

Dad gave Lil 🐦‍⬛ Larry his first flying lesson… and while he’s earning his wings, let’s just say the landing still needs a little work. 😅

Every day he gets a little stronger, a little braver, and a little closer to the sky. 🖤

There are moments you don’t expect to stay with you…

Sedona Wolf Sanctuary- I didn’t expect how profoundly moved I’d be standing on sacred Indigenous land, and how quiet everything got the moment I was face to face with the wolves. No performance. No noise. Just a kind of raw honesty that made everything else fall away.

Wolves don’t greet you with playful excitement like dogs. They read you. They feel you. They see you. Some people they passed right by. Others they kept their distance from. And then a few… they chose.

Rod and I were chosen, and the intention behind each interaction made you slow down and meet yourself a little more honestly. When young Thor, and then the Alpha female looked in my eyes and held my gaze… there was a deep wisdom there I can’t fully put into words. It’s taken me weeks just to try.

Wolf “kisses” aren’t sloppy or chaotic long dog kisses. They’re deliberate. Personal. Intentional. You can feel the difference, and so can everyone watching.

One woman in our group had recently lost her husband. Luna climbed up beside her and gave her the kind of comfort that brought tears to everyone around us. Every interaction was different. Rod’s and mine… I’ll just say I’m deeply grateful.

It’s hard to explain without sounding dramatic, but being that close to something still truly wild shifts something in you. Not loud. Not overwhelming. Just… a quiet recalibration and remembrance of something ancient. A wisdom and wildness in your soul.

You guys pulled up and filled the lot exactly how we hoped. 🙌🏻

Appreciate everyone who came through and made the first one at the new location a solid one.

Same vibe. Same crew. Just more room… and we used it.

This is just the start. 🔥

@coffeecovehd was a hit.
@r_spotkitchen was a hit.
The new location was a massive hit. We were overdue for a bigger parking lot for sure!

We had an incredible turnout and couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who showed up and supported.

Huge thank you to @coffeecovehd for welcoming us in, and @r_spotkitchen for coming through and showing out.

It meant a lot to see Earl and Kelli formally from Six Beans come by and show their support as well, it wouldn’t have been the same without them! ☕️

We truly have the best crowd. Thank you all for making this first one at the new spot such a success. We are looking forward to next month already!
