After taking a couple of months off to do some freelance/crew work, I am finally back in post production for my upcoming short film 'And then she woke up, and she realised it had all been a dream.' Which means we're also resuming with the BTS!

--------- PART 4: SHOOT DAY ONE ---------

The first actual day on set! It was really rewarding to finally have the whole team together in one room and for the first time this project felt possible. Months of writing, testing and tearing my hair out over a spreadsheet we're finally coming to something. However there were, as always, a few issues that stressed me out. Since this was in April, the weather was really unpredictable. We were planning on shooting an exterior scene for this day too, but I cancelled it because of rain. Annoyingly, it ended up being beautiful sunshine after I'd already made the cancellation so couldn't go back!

This ended up having an upside though. It meant we could use the shoot as somewhat of a production meeting, getting everyone on the same page and testing how all of us worked in a room with some simple shots. It went really well and we were crazily efficient, and the vibe felt really upbeat. It did a lot to settle my nerves going into the future days, having a sort of test run. This footage was to be played in on a TV later in the film which is why we got it first, and could easily edit around anything that wasn't working.

Not much more to say here other than thank you to @asher_takes_pics for taking these great photos despite not having much of an iteresting set to work with.

Photo dump cause it's been an interesting and busy month and I lack brain power to do anything more with my timeline than this right now so enjoy!

However update- I've moved out of London to Sussex, dropped out of uni possibly temporarily but possibly for good, and have been sorting out my mental state by mostly keeping up with therapy and putting in boundaries. Not an easy ride but essential nonetheless, so thanks to those bearing with me through the journey x
