R.I.P. Dad "I can clearly say the gaze upon your brightness from beyond is what keeps my heart pumping” A poem for my Father whom passed 10 years ago today, I love you with every ounce of belief I have, you SON OF A PUP! It’s unfathomable to fear a day like today A day where I should be picking the rainbows colors apart to see if my father made it to heaven A day that marks the worst experience of my life A day that 10 years ago, stole every word I had, and churned them into tears I remember the happiness that was bluntly stolen The moment my idol came crumbling down To idly sit with my hands shackled to the truth that he was no longer with us Tore my chest in half Leaving one side to piece together the jigsaw puzzle of what was left to build I possess the power to reform these ruins From these sandcastle memories, comes a sturdy foundation to build upon So I say conform to these old paths that my brain has wondered down on this day Remember each still frame with a gust of strong wind that can never knock you down, but can only push away the fog from the path he created for me to walk down
