Guitar friends from London, I have big news!!!

On next week (23 of August, Sunday) I'll be making my first BLUES GUITAR CLINIC - it will be a 4 hours masterclass, where I'll explain the main harmonic structures of the Blues, and how you can improvise exploring the chord changes, scales you can use, how to switch between major and minor pentatonic, and how to mix them together... Giving you a better understanding about the Blues structures, will make you a better and more confident guitarrist when you're live on stage, or creating your own solos in studio or at home... Here are the details:

[English⤵] 🎢🎡🎠 Primeira vez viajando em grupo para a Disney!
A gente sempre via grupos enormes viajando pra Disney e pensava: “isso deve dar um trabalho…” 😂

Nossa primeira viagem em grupo pra Walt Disney World Resort foi cansativa, divertida e cheia de aprendizados.

Como tínhamos poucos dias, fizemos os parques praticamente seguidos. Pra tudo funcionar, alugamos uma casa pra todo mundo e um carro gigante. Nos parques todos aceitaram que nem sempre todo mundo queria fazer as mesmas coisas.

Enquanto alguns iam nos brinquedos radicais, outros queriam loja, comida ou só sentar por 10 minutos sem andar. E tudo bem.

No fim, os melhores momentos foram justamente os bastidores: as conversas no carro, a convivência na casa, todo mundo exausto no fim do dia e ainda assim rindo junto.

Viajar em grupo não é fazer tudo juntos o tempo todo. É respeitar o jeito de cada um e criar memórias juntos ✨

[Eng] We’d always see huge groups travelling to Disney and think, “that must be a lot of work…” 😂

Our first group trip to Walt Disney World Resort was tiring, fun, and full of lessons along the way.

Since we only had a few days, we did the parks almost back-to-back. To make it all work, we rented a house for everyone and a huge vehicle to fit the whole group. At the parks, everyone understood that not everybody wanted to do the same things all the time.

While some people went for the thrill rides, others wanted to shop, grab food, or just sit down for 10 minutes without walking. And honestly, that was totally okay.

In the end, the best moments were actually the behind-the-scenes ones: the conversations in the car, sharing the same house, everyone exhausted at the end of the day but still laughing together.

Travelling as a group isn’t about doing everything together all the time. It’s about respecting each other and creating memories together ✨

Tem rolê que é só mais um na agenda. E tem rolê que é história. O show do Rod Rivers nesta sexta (20/3), no Blues Bar, é exatamente isso pra mim: história, nostalgia e gratidão.
.
Foi lá por 2013, recém separado e meio perdido na noite, que comecei a frequentar os shows da Rivers — e, sem nem saber direito o que tava fazendo, comecei a fotografar. Tosco no começo, mas verdadeiro. E foi ali que nasceu, sem nome ainda, o que hoje é o Senhor dos Rolês.

Acompanhava o Rod e sua trupe nos domingos lendários do Rota Acústica, nas quintas de rock Blues Bar e também do Safari (Av. Afonso Pena), terças do Dinossauros Moto Clube, o saudoso Rock no Horto, Tábua e tantas outras noites memoráveis!
.
A Rivers seguiu seu caminho até a última formação com Rod (guitarra e voz), Rafael Barros (baixo e backing vocals), Marcos Uzun (bateria) e Fred Oliveira (teclados). Depois, a vida levou o Rod pra Londres, onde ele segue na estrada com novos projetos — Alien Nation (autoral) e Rock Candy (covers).

E nesta sexta é dia de revisitar tudo isso. De celebrar a música, a história e os encontros que mudaram o rumo. Também quero agradecer por ele ter me colocado no mapa da cena local.

Nesta sexta, a On The Road, os herdeiros da Rivers (é sim, essa história maravilhosa do Rafa começou com a partida da Rivers), abrem a noite, celebrando os anos de amizade.

Se você viveu essa época, sabe. Se não viveu, essa é a chance.

Important Local News 🗣️🚨

The World’s End needs your voice!

They are currently having their licensing reviewed by Islington Council due to an application by an interested party.

The 3 Points under the microscope are:
* The Prevention of Crime & Disorder;
* Public Safety; and
* The Prevention of Public Nuisance.

What this means?
The Council are reviewing each of the above and need evidence to support / rebuke each claim.

What you can do?
Email licensing@islington.gov.uk with your voices and share your personal experiences about The World’s End.

Personal thoughts:
The World’s End has stood proudly in Finsbury Park for Roughly 150 years without issue. Its history speaks for itself - Ed Sheeran played here many moons ago and signed his publishing deal back in 2011. There are so many stories, memories and iconic moments within the walls of this pub. I had my first post work drinks here back in 2012 - shout out Radio Taxis ( long gone now but just showing my age 😂).

It’s another one of our fine institutions under threat of restriction in an already dicey hospitality era. It must operate as is and with our support…

We must defend them with our stories, experiences and also…. our future artists. You never know who you might watch on Stage at the World’s End and who might one day headline Glastonbury.

Better yet, you’re watching someone perform their passion to an audience here in Finsbury Park. Any restriction to this would be robbing us of our culture and memories.

This isn’t the first time Pubs in Islington have been under the microscope- The Seakforde and Compton Arms - by interested Parties so we must have our voices heard.

Liking, resharing and leaving reviews are not enough. This is a call to action to flood the inbox of licensing@islington.gov.uk to prevent restrictions on one of our most loved boozers here in Finsbury Park.
