Kami, I love you. I'm so proud of you. Being your office mom for the past 605 days has been the greatest honor. We've been through so much together. You have overcome so many obstacles. My longest office kitty, by far. I feel so incredibly lucky to be a small part of your journey. There were times I didn't know if this day would ever come and just as I least expected it, your most perfect family walked through our door. You are so spunky, so smart, so "gentle fresh" and an absolute stunner. I cannot wait to watch you thrive in the forever home that you've always deserved. There are no words that can begin to express the depths of my love for you, how much you mean to me, and how much I will miss you.

Our boys, Yin and Yang have now been reunited in heaven, where they will be together forever. Their story is one of heartbreak, triumph, resilience, and love. I feel so lucky to be a small part of their journey. I am forever grateful to their mom @4orangetabbies_find_yin_n_yang , a rare gem of a human, who took on two medically challenged boys and nurtured and loved them until it was their time to depart this earth. My heart goes out to her. I wish they all had more time together. It’s confusing to feel both joy and pain simultaneously, but these emotions are often intertwined in the world of rescue. There truly are no words to describe how special these boys were. If you were privileged enough to know the phenomenon that was Yin and Yang then you understand what I mean. Rest in Paradise Yin. I know Yang is excited to have you with him forever🌈☯️💜

Every day is taco day! Because Willy doesn’t need a cone, @roe_jo got the vet’s blessing to adorn Audra Mae with this taco collar. I’ve included a photo of her actual eye if you want to see it. It’s not SO bad, but some may be turned off to the “project” of her care. Their loss! This southern 6 year old is oozing charm. She may also be deaf. Sally Fields never made it to Instagram. We kept her off the website too. One photo would have yielded a million inquiries but this highly sensitive survivor was going to need a very specific home. So Sally moved into the Spa to get some TLC. The entire team worked diligently on her self esteem, including her fellow felines who she became immediately smitten with.

@pamelagny was facing the end of her beloved Ed’s time. Ed was a senior she had adopted via @bethostern when her last cat passed and her surviving cat Everest was deeply grieving. Ed and Everest were fast friends and both hearts were mended. Ed had a blissful retirement after a chaotic cycle of adoptions and returns. I grieved with Pamela who was in frequent contact with me. Her concern was once again Everest’s grief.

Teammates sent me updates of the Spa kids. One video caught my attention: a very amorous Sally pelting Jones with all the love she’s got. I thought of how much Everest would appreciate that kind of love from a soulmate. Pamela then posted about her history with former ferals and I thought “AHA!!”

After talking it over with Dorit,I shared Sally’s photo and story with Pamela. Her immediate reaction was she wanted someone who needed her home more, that Sally would easily find a home(oh how I 🧡 Pamela!). Not true! Not the home she needs! I reminded her of how long Magenta @perfectpancake622 waited and that her home was exactly what she needed. One video share later, Sally became Etta and can now be followed on her journey which we predict is going to heal a lot of hearts and hopefully inspires other to adopt the less adoptable. It took 9 months for Samwell and Theon to embrace life in the safety of the shelter after the first few months of their life was in a horrific hoarding house. With every day, they progressed leaps and bounds from those meager beginnings. So impressive was their transition, they had legions of fans cheering for them. Today, thanks to an intro by @teymaneeya they met their number 1 fans, a sweet couple ready to spend forever loving them the way we all have. Tuesdays are my busiest and longest days as I meet new cats and gather information for the website in between my normal rounds. I collapsed on my couch last night after writing dozens of bios, and never got to post Atom’s gratitude for the presents @taylor_d.v sent to us. Taylor has been supporting my favorite cats from the beginning and she not only brightens their days but ours as well. Variety is the spice of life!
