What an incredible 24 hours. The Hutchison/Ramirez crew headed to Austin where I had the honor of being part of my cousin Roger’s wedding to his beautiful love, Rita. From a festive Friday evening at Julio’s on Duval to a stunning backyard ceremony, and ending with a full-on party at Franklin Backyard BBQ—the food was out of this world and the dance floor on fire. (We clean up pretty well, don’t we?)

Heading to bed now so I can be back at Palmer first thing in the morning. Grateful for it all.

I love you @roger_glenn and @ritasimone22!

Turning 35.
I am excited, inspired, and ready to start my new chapter 🙏🏼

Forever grateful for every soul in my life—my parents, my entire family and everyone who has given me valuable lessons. This is just a short, grateful message for everyone I’ve ever met on my path.

I am at peace with the world and open to everything that comes. I’ll also be doing a series of posts about what I’ve discovered and learned in my 35 years.

Thank you for supporting me and my work here 🙏🏼

Love you all.😘

I had the great opportunity to drive up to Austin last night to kick off @goodshepherdaustin’s fall Wednesday programming.

The theme was “Understanding Union with God and One Another,” and I was asked to speak about my journey, community, and spiritual practices. It was a true joy to be with this crew.

I especially want to thank the incomparable @mrs.jessica.riels, @brin_bon, @stanfordadams, @paigehanks, and the incredibly kind @jgdail. What a team!

I also want to thank my cousin @roger_glenn for showing up to support me. I love you!

And wow… they put me up at @hotelella, and it is heavenly. Look at this breakfast—and the porch/veranda! I’m not fancy, so this was such a treat—so very good for my soul.

If you are interested in connecting about a presentation—either in person or on Zoom—please let me know. I love one-off events or leading a short-term class, particularly on Zoom. Be in touch!

And @jgdail and @rev.lizzie—my prayers are with you on all of the exciting incubating and birthing going on in your lives! What a gift you both are.

I absolutely love this guy.

When my mom married my Papa, I gained an entirely new family. As a goofy preteen, I was unsure of what lay beyond my little world.

This new family included a cousin whose name, coincidently, was also Roger. Until then, I had never met another Roger. And, we were just about the same age.

Given our different backgrounds, I wasn’t sure how he would receive me. To my surprise, we got along wonderfully. Now, 40 years later, we are closer than ever.

Roger drove down from Austin last night to pick up some paintings he bought from me. He insisted on paying full price, refusing to accept the favorite cousin family discount.

He spent the night and is heading back today. We had breakfast this morning at The Toasted Yolk, and without any prior planning, we ordered the same exact meal, coffee, and orange juice. There’s a mysterious and holy connection between us.

He adores my family, and they love him right back. Sully and Finley, in particular, have a special fondness for him.

Family doesn’t always look like you might expect it—and mine is as colorful as any. I’m incredibly grateful that Roger is a part of it.
