Some events remind you why you do the work you do. Last night was one of those nights!

We brought together dozens of creatives, entrepreneurs, business leaders and professional services folks for Creating for Good with Paul Frank. Different backgrounds, different industries, but one shared idea: Creativity isn’t just for artists. It’s for everyone.

And yes, you can actually teach creativity as a tool for problem-solving, collaboration and thinking differently. Imagine what happens when we bring more of that into our workplaces!

I work with nonprofit @creatinggood.co on PR and strategic communications, but my involvement is becoming something much more personal. I’m incredibly excited to be joining founder @mattfromrogue and Chief Goodness Officer @revsarahheath in bringing Creating Good workshops to businesses and organizations in 2027 as part of leadership, training and professional development programs.

Creating Good isn’t just an organization that hosts creative events. It’s a movement and a platform built around the belief that creativity connects people, opens minds and inspires us to do good in the world. It’s about getting people out of their routines, sometimes out of their comfort zones and into experiences that spark connection, curiosity and possibility.

And who better to help us demonstrate that than Paul Frank?

Paul, from one Gen Xer to another, thank you. You helped create the images, characters and whimsy that defined a generation. And decades later, you’re still reminding us that imagination doesn’t have an expiration date. What a gift to share that spirit with our community!

A big thank-you to our sponsors, @highnoonsunsips and @columbiabank and to everyone who showed up ready to create, connect and try something different.

I’m proud of the work we’re building with Creating Good. And even more excited about where we’re taking it next. Here’s to making creativity part of how we work, lead and solve problems! And doing a little good along the way.

Birthday wish unlocked. Got to work with Paul Frank on an exclusive Creating Good (Good On You) shirt, design a postcard, and do a print workshop together. Once in a lifetime experience getting to meet the man behind Julius the Monkey, hang out, and pick his brain on silk screening and nostalgic design.
Another year older today. If you dig what we’re doing with Creating Good, share this around and go check out the collab.

I always say you can learn a lot about someone by the people they choose to spend time with…

That’s one of the reasons I asked Matt Barnes to emcee our campaign kickoff last month.

Matt knows me well, and he also knows how to bring people together. If you’ve ever been to one of his events, you know exactly what I mean.

He’s a five-time entrepreneur, a proud Costa Mesa resident, a devoted husband and father of five, and someone who has invested so much in our community. More than anything, he’s the kind of person who shows up for people.

I’m honored he was part of such a special night and grateful he took a moment to share why he’s supporting this campaign.

Costa Mesa is better because Matt calls it home! Thank you for supporting me!

Inspiring the next generation starts with real-world experiences! 🚀

Last week, our Next Academy students went behind the scenes with a special tour of the Rogue Collective facility.

A massive thank you to matt barnes, the founder of Rogue Collective (and our incredible Volunteer of the Year last year!), for opening his doors and speaking with our students. Matt dove into some fantastic topics, interacting with the kids about their unique interests and bright futures. It’s moments like these that truly spark career curiosity! ✨

💡 Want to inspire the next generation? We are always looking for passionate professionals to host tours or speak to our students. Drop us a line to find out how you can get involved!

Soo for those who aren’t on LinkedIn, I’m officially announcing my new role at @roguecreatives

I’ve actually been the Creative Director for three months now, but the business cards just arrived so it felt like the right time to finally post it.

It has been a great few months leading the team and diving deeper into our work. I am grateful for the trust and looking forward to everything we are building here.
