Record 45 is “Hell Yea!” by Sym.

“Hell Yea!” A reaffirming and frequent comment from John any time that coffee or adventures were suggested. 😄

John loved Stitch. Sym remembers him saying that if a little blue monster could find a family and be loved, then it gave hope to all of us.

Sym and John were old friends, painting alongside each other at many a paint jam over the years and sharing plenty of coffees and adventures too. ☺️

Bright, rebellious, full of character and guaranteed to make people smile. This piece is just awesome. 🤘🏽🎸

“Hell Yea!” is up for auction now, raising money for Children’s Hospice South West. Please go and place a bid. We all need a bit of Stitch wisdom in our lives. 💙🙏🏼✨

Meet the Artist: Sym.

A true Glastonbury original, Sym is an artist, mural painter and all-round local legend whose work has become a familiar and much-loved part of the town’s creative landscape. 🎨💚

For many years, Sym was one of the friendly faces at Rogues Gallery on Glastonbury High Street, where lots of local artists found inspiration, conversation and every art supply they could possibly need. For many of us, it was always the first place we’d go. ✨

Since 2010, he’s been painting his iconic hearts filled with yin-yang creatures, quietly leaving little pockets of joy wherever they appear. Along the way, his distinctive style has led to all kinds of exciting commissions, while his passion for creating has never lost its playful spirit. ❤️

Sym loves painting animals, insects and characters inspired by the world around him, often weaving in subtle nods to cartoons and popular culture. Whether working on a commission or simply creating another heart for the joy of it, his artwork always carries a wonderful sense of fun, curiosity and kindness. 🦋

Having Sym as part of Vinyl & Valour means so much to us. His generosity, alongside that of every artist involved in this project, is helping transform an idea into something that’s making a real difference for Children’s Hospice South West. 🌿

Thank you, Sym, for sharing your creativity, generosity and unmistakable style with Vinyl & Valour. We’re so grateful to have you as part of the exhibition and charity auction. 💛
