When it rains on your wedding day… 🌧️

We booked a marriage ceremony at city hall a few weeks ago
I broke my kneecap a few days later
Yesterday, on the morning of the ceremony we had a sound meditation session with @thedarahart and my friend @ze_schock rang the doorbell in the middle.
It was pouring rain and cold outside
The traffic got us to city hall half an hour later than planned
Shani’s friend went to the Manhattan city hall instead of the Brooklyn one
And the cherry on top: When our number was called, and the clerk lady asked for the marriage license, I realized I didn’t apply properly🤦🏻‍♂️
”I’m sorry sir, but you’re not getting married today”
We looked at each-other in disbelief, Shani smiled at me and said “Let’s do the ceremony our way”
So we went to our lunch reservation and read each other our vows in the back garden of @cafemogadornyc surrounded by people we love
It was like time froze for a few hours and we were in a dream. In our minds, we are married. We’ll go do the formality some other day 🤝❤️ It couldn’t have gone better.
