After an entire month of meticulous planning, this past Saturday became a significant milestone as our @sgdiserves foundation gracefully hosted a banquet for our second annual scholarship competition. This event holds profound meaning for us due to the life-altering impact it had on numerous individuals. We were able to award over $5000 in scholarship funds to 7 exceptional contestants 🥇. A heartfelt thank you extends to the incredible team behind this achievement: @aminataaa_, @fanta_astic, and kra.moh – your dedicated efforts are deeply cherished 🤍. Our gratitude also extends to our esteemed Keynote speaker, @aminasillah, for delivering a powerful message that resonated profoundly with all of us 🤍 A special shout-out to @good.mommies for flawlessly catering our event 🔥– .We also applaud our media team, @eeeee_t & @_2xfilms, for capturing the essence of the event so beautifully. . Greetings SGDI Family , we hope this message finds you well. Two years ago, we introduced a new branch of our brand called the ‘SGDI Serves Initiative’. In 2021, Allah allowed us to successfully complete two major projects with the help of our community. Our first project helped feed 250 families in Senegal during ramadan. Our second project focused on providing food and clothing for over 100 residents across three homeless shelters in the Philadelphia area. In a few days insha Allah, I’ll be heading back to Senegal to begin our third initiative. This time, with your help, we hope to make an even bigger impact by providing support for 300 children in Arabic boarding schools across 5 villages. We are hoping to provide them with basic necessities and tools to support their education. Please see the GoFundme description for additional information. The GoFundMe campaign will close on February 9th, 2023 11:59pm EST. We plan to complete shopping on February 10th, 2023 and host the giveaway on February 11, 2023. We will end the giveaway by feeding all the children and members of their communities. When you invest in a child, you invest in the future. We greatly appreciate your support. What’s good SGDI family? To kick off 2023, we will be hosting our first ever community pop up shop event! Not only will SGDI be vending, but we will be opening 20 vending slots to the public to be apart of this dope experience. If you are interested, please DM us with your name and your type of business. We will do first come first served, however, if you don’t get selected, we still encourage you to come out and network.
