Every year we host a 3D archery event here in SE Idaho! This is a clip from the night course we do! Such a cool experience shooting in the dark and watching your lighted nocks 🔥

Be sure to go check out the full recap video on our youtube 🙌

This kid was on fire at the Rokman Games. There is definitely something to be said about maturing in archery.

I used to wonder why so many coaches and programs had minimum ages, usually 8 or older. I have coached kids as young as 3 and my own kid started at 2 or three.

Do I see a huge benefit to starting young? 💯. Do I also see astronomical value in MATURITY when it comes to developing as an archer? YES!

Maturity and age are obviously not the same. I have some very young students that demonstrate outstanding maturity and coachability, as well as, some older students that struggle because of maturity level.

Having said that, there is confidence, strength, and experience that are only gained with age. I am loving watching my own kids and my students attain new levels as they grow in this sport.

Just two weeks ago, we were soaking up every moment on this mountain. Right now, it is currently on fire 🔥.

My heart is aching.

These are mountains I grew up in, but now it’s not just the mountains. This fire is threatening homes and families and farms and lively hood. My childhood neighbors are watching their world burn. Ash is falling at my parent’s house.

If you are the praying type, please pray, for these mountains, but also for all those who an are fighting a battle of flames across the west. Pray for rain. Pray for the brave men and women risking the lives. Pray that these fires can be contained and that others won’t start.

Sending our prayers up along with yours.

We LOVE the night shoot…. But, there were definitely moments.

We waited a lot.

Brody was not feeling well due to allergies, his knee, and a medical reaction which also resulted in a migraine. He was still a trooper.

Ashtyn is 10….and a girl…do I need to say more.

Ty was on her second course of the night.

Kel and I were tired….we are always tired…but especially at 1am.

So, some of the night looked like this…which, also means we have incredible memories and funny stories for years to come🤍. I love this family of mine and I love sharing crazy, fun, rare, tedious, amazing adventures with them.

It doesn’t take very many minutes on the mountain to reaffirm our love of @thebowhitch.

Cause, honestly, carrying your bow sucks….and the hitch is by far our very favorite accessory (NOT sponsored, just loved).

NEWS FLASH: taking your kids gets way more fun as they get older…..

But, that’s the pay of for pushing through the tough parts of taking them when they are younger😉

It’s all worth it.
