RedBar Houston welcomed Jason Lu of @1776atelier, who hosted a seminar on fine finishing and the art of watchmaking. Based in Houston, 1776 Atelier is one of a small number of US brands utilizing old-world techniques to hand finish watches at this level.

This post goes out to everyone in RedBar Houston. Our end of year party is always a treat, but this year it was exceptional. The support from local watch boutiques and jewelry stores, and from the fantastic Christopher Ward boutique in Dallas made this event extra special. With tables set for 50, we had 56 in attendance – bursting at the seams! I can only tag 20 accounts, but there are so many more I wish to thank. We've got great plans in 2026, and I look forward to sharing it with the Houston watch community.

#NWA also I different sort of post for me. I picked up this watch on Thursday from @rolanddigsit at the @redbarhouston swap meet in a mutually beneficial trade. I have had my eye @zodiacwatches for a while and this Olympos caught my eye at a few events. The case shape is incredible and that dial is just incredible. I was too busy on Friday and went out of town to visit my mom on Saturday where I came across some really direct natural light and a cool little wood box so of course I had to snag a few shots of this dial and case. I usually don’t use much natural light and I normally wouldn’t reach for this style of watch but this one has so many great unique features that tipped me over the edge. I think this is the perfect budget quasi dress watch with all the right vintage vibes to suit my personal style.
