📸 A legendary photograph. A remarkable story. A must-see museum experience!

Have you explored Visions of the City at the Rollins Museum of Art? ✨ Make plans to visit this weekend and experience Ormond Gigli’s iconic photograph, Girls in the Window, New York, in person!

Featured in Life Magazine and Ladies’ Home Journal, this unforgettable image captures 43 women dressed in vibrant colors in the windows of the Beaux-Arts building in Manhattan.

📷 After learning the building was to be demolished, fashion photographer Ormond Gigli organized an extraordinary photoshoot from the fire escape of his studio on 58th Street. Bringing together friends, models, his wife, and even the demolition supervisor’s wife, Gigli captured the scene in just one hour using a large-format press camera and fewer than 20 shots!

The result? A striking image that celebrates fashion, photography, and the transformation of the postwar city. 🏙️

🎨 Come see this iconic photograph up close!

Asked my friends what 4 things remind them of Rollins and this is what they came up with 🤍

There are so many sights, memories, and experiences that make Rollins feel like Rollins. There’s everything from the places we pass every day to campus traditions, late nights, random moments with friends, and everything in between. As senior year begins, I’m realizing it’s all of these little things that make this place so special and make my college experience feel uniquely mine. #rollinslife #rollinscollege #senioryear

A change of scenery 🇬🇧

I am so excited to be spending this semester in London! Since I landed, I’ve taken every
opportunity to explore and familiarize myself with this amazing city. There is so much to take in
and in my first few weeks, I’ve experienced so many amazing things. From sights of The London
Eye and a day trip to Stonehenge, to participating in afternoon tea and eating amazing food, it’s
already been a very cool experience! I can’t wait to share it all with you! #rollinslife #rollinscollege

Sophomore year, you’ve been pretty good to me so far 🤍 From getting back into the routine of classes and studying to exploring Park Ave, spending time with friends, and finding new places around Orlando, the first month has been full of little moments that made being back at Rollins feel so special! #rollinslife #collegesophomore #florida #collegelife #rollinscollege

What a beautiful way to close out our Sunday Social summer series!

Thank you, Aycha, and the students from the @rollins.socialentrepreneurship class at @rollinscollege for spending the day observing, volunteering, and pouring into our community.

A special thank you to all our amazing vendors including Maya leading water aerobics and to @iindigenousgems for introducing so many of our attendees to the beautiful, immersive experience of a sound bath. It was something new, calming, and truly special.

Always wonderful to have our sister @teamkareemmemorialfoundation stop by. Make sure you check her page for her fundraiser coming up Oct 3rd. It will be at the Eatonville pool.

Lastly, thank you @thechocolatemermaid, for leading our swim lessons, and @msmat613 for jumping in to help. We ended the summer with community, connection, wellness, and a whole lot of new swimmers that were super proud of. 💙🌊
