It has become our little tradition to either stop for coffee and cake at a mountain hut or bring cinnamon buns along on a hike to enjoy somewhere along the way.
Because what’s the point of hiking if you can’t have a cinnamon bun with a view like this?🧁✨

My favorite family photo so far might just be the first one🤍✨

Olpererhütte had been on our list for such a long tim, since the days when my then-boyfriend and I lived apart, were figuring out long distance, and had no idea what the future would bring.

Turns out, the future brought us things we hadn’t even dared to dream of.

Years later, we finally made it here with our little boy, who happened to be the tiniest guest at the hut that day. All thanks to his dad, who carried him up 600 m of elevation and over the rocky trail like it was nothing.

Some places are worth waiting for 🤍

*ISSUE 02 Final Call for Submissions*

Our community is what makes Field Mag work.

In ISSUE 01 we featured 18 pages of film photography from our community members. For ISSUE 02, we’re running it back, because few things are better than seeing your work in print.

Submit your best 3x film photos (can be unrelated to each other!) thru the bio link form for a chance to be featured in ISSUE 02, releasing later this spring (paste in your g-drive link in the form!)

We want adventure. A story in an image. Avoid cliches.

All seasons welcome. All film formats welcome. All people welcome.

Submission deadline: Friday April 03

We will contact those selected by April 10. If you do not hear from us, please know your work and self is appreciated nonetheless. The fact that anyone is even reading this, let alone wanting to be a part of it, warms my cold hard New Yorker heart :)

“Going from digital into film made me fall in love with photography all over again. The whole process is just pure art. it really teaches me to slow down and have patience to wait for the right moment to click the shutter (which sounds incredible!). Therefore every photograph becomes a meaningful piece of art."

“For more than two yours now I exclusively shoot film. I love film because it‘s all art. Film forces intention: limited frames, manual settings, and no instant preview make each shot feel deliberate. That pace can feel calming and meaningful compared to the speed of todays especially digital world.
⠀
Most of the time I choose Portra 400 over every other film stock because it‘s so versatile: golden hour, harsh noon sun or cloudy days. It works everywhere. And the colors are soo beautiful.”
