🎃☕️🍂 Summerween by Joss Wood ~ 3⭐️

This was a quick and easy read to get through for Halloween. It was a good read, but I wasn’t super obsessed with it. I wanted more depth, but I knew I wouldn’t be getting it with this style of book.

Another cosy and quick read for the Halloween season. I loved the vibes, but just couldn’t get behind Kat as the FMC. This book was also slow to start as well. This book was okay and I wouldn’t really be jumping at the chance to pick this up either.

✨ REVIEW ✨

I love this time of the year as the @hqbooks Christmas anthology is released 🎄 and I especially love it because it always features some of my favourite Aussie rural romance authors!

This year it’s all about the country pub which is often the heart of small towns across the country! This theme was great because every one of these stories had a sense of community woven into the romance narrative!

I loved every single one of the four stories featured in this year’s book. @alissacallenauthor @stella.quinn.author @penelopejanuwriter and @pamelacookwrites have outdone themselves.

We have cheeky farm animals, some fake it ‘til you make it in a remote location, culinary delights and a pub that needs saving. Each story was such a delight to read 💕

The whole Wait With Me series by @amydawsauthor has been a fun and quirky read & Take a Number was another great instalment.

I loved the whole bakery business setting and gosh it left me crazing some sweet treats. Nora and Dean were a really cute couple together and I loved how Dean silently supported Nora with achieving her dreams. This fake dating romance features characters we fell in love with from the previous books and does continue their storylines, while setting up the relationship between Nora and Dean. I really love the interconnectedness of this series because it felt like I wasn’t leaving any of my favourite characters behind and a whole little community was being formed.

I don’t tend to read a lot of friends to lovers romances, but Take a Number really did hit the spot for me. There was a little drama which paired nicely with the relationship development. If you’re looking for a fun romance series with unique characters, the Wait With Me series is the one for you.

Review:
This is the fourth book in the Wait with Me Series and is Dean and Norah's story. The two enter a fake dating arrangement however things don't stay fake for too long.

I really love this series and Dean and Norah were wonderful. As someone who struggles to find bakery food these days that are both Gluten Free and Dairy Free, my gosh this book made me want to risk it all for one of Norah's croinuts. Dean and Norah's chemistry was so good and this book had me laughing a lot. I loved all the times the previous couples were in it too. All round I adore this series, it is such a fun time. I recommend checking it out!

How do you feel about sample chapters? I think they are a great way to get a vibe for a book, but I got to admit, if it hooks you good it SUCKS having to wait for more.

Elodie and the Dark Lord is Ashley Postons first book in the fantasy world - a COSY acadamia romantasy 👀

A dead (or missing?!) magical brother, a sister who goes undercover at the magical academy to try to find him, and a professor who was Cursed to be a .... cat 👀

The last few weeks there has been some amazing new releases!!!!

This is a full family book haul here, but I am most excited about the stunning sprayed edges editions of Fever dream and Louise Hays’ classic!!! Aren’t they stunning?! I didn’t even know You Can Heal Your Life had the spredges until it showed up!

This was such a fun read that would be perfect for Halloween! I thought the lore to this was quite interesting and unique. I love a good enemies to lovers plot - watching the relationship between Darcy and Gabriel develop was so sweet. I think my favourite part though is the small side plot of Darcy’s relationship with Frank the old florist, I thought their relationship was beautiful and then the plot twist related to that broke me.
