Where did these big kids come from?! 🥹🦅🚀
They are blessed. Believed-in.
Men of integrity, honesty, and character.
The head - with some tail tendencies - but the head, nonetheless… and they are ready!

TALK ABOUT A GRRRR8 WEEK! ✨
Roman had a really special one, filled with heaps of joy and love.
What a treasure to be celebrated so dearly.

His friends show up. His teachers love him.
He knows he’s not alone, and can recite Psalm 23 to prove it.
He persisted through a steep climb in second grade and still emerged with awards of character and praise of fortitude where it matters most.

He’s worked so hard playing up to an incredible standard on his academy soccer team all year, and the fruit of it was sweet: striker on the first goal in his championship game, which they won by one. Nothingggg beats every parent cheering on your hard-working kid!

I will always remember this week… and how 𝐼 grew from it.
Watching you, watching others celebrate you, and watching diligence at work in your little eight year timeline teaches me as much as I’ve picked up in my own forty years, Roman Thomas.

I delight in you. I gush over you.
I’m jumping the highest out of my sideline chair every time for you.
I love you!

It’s Tuesday and you’re 8.

You were born on a Saturday but now you are into the weekdays of life. You can throw a fastball and catch a pop fly. You memorize your recital songs without even trying. The ropes course doesn’t phase you. You have really strong opinions on sunscreen.

When you are with your friends, you smile the most of anyone.

You tried your best — all season long — to score a goal. And in the final game, the championship game, you scored and your team won by 1.

You are still small enough to put your face into my chest when you scrape your knee. We pray when we’re grateful. We pray when we’re afraid. As often as we can, we share blankets and movies and popcorn.

This is what your Mom and I hoped for. You are 8, it’s Tuesday, and this is the good life.
