Nominated for “best director” (@geophrian) and “best voice” (@riley.wayy) for this year’s Gramoframe Music Video Awards in August. Wish us luck!

Was an adventurous project attempting to create a house on fire to bring to life the stellar song by Riley Way. Great to see it getting accolades and couldn’t have done it without the amazing team that got us through two grueling days of filming!

Artist To Watch 2026

@riley.wayy is my one to watch for many reasons. First and foremost she’s a singer songwriter who is able to pack a punch with her songs, and this is illustrated beautifully in this song, it’s an acoustic led track with all the right ingredients - a catchy melody, a middle 8 and an outro that will make you go back and listen again.

This song is about a relationship that is deteriorating, however she’s determined to make it work, because she believes in the relationship.

Instrumental wise we have an acoustic guitar leading the way, joined by piano, Hammond organ bringing the soulful blues flavour and percussion in the intro. This song is catchy as hell, and they outro with Riley’s adlibs are just bang on. I love a little bit of harmonics to end it. And just like that we are done.

Riley’s got a great future ahead of her in my opinion, she’s supported @macygray and she’s got more songs in her arsenal… watch out for this one! #musicreview #trackoftheday #musicblog #instamusic

Some life in 360. 25 years ago I recorded and mixed Macy Gray’s On How Life Is album and on Thursday, my daughter Riley opened for her at House Of Blues. She had a hard time finding a drummer on short notice so I got to back her up. It was quite a view. So proud of her and grateful to Macy for thinking of her.

Track Of The Day “Poison” @riley.wayy

Riley Way - Poison

This is the new single from Riley Way and she comes to the table with a song that’s full of barbs.

This is a song that talks of a dangerous relationship that is revealed to be toxic - hence why it’s poison.

Musically, it’s blues rock, first off the guitars start off cleaned but it’s not until when the chorus comes in that it really goes full on rock. Add to it the piano in the chorus, it really gives the song power. Ohhh are those pizzicato strings?

There are easter eggs hidden within the song’s lyrics - Riley is from LA, a town known for music and film - so in the lyrics she references film scores, and scripts. This is a girl who is inspired by her surroundings, and it’s evident in her lyrics, she’s not your run of the mill throw it together and see what comes out the other end.

In short I’m very proud for her on this release.

This is produced by her father Dave Way, a man whose production credits read like you wouldn’t believe. I’m not going to give you any spoilers but let’s just say that you will have heard a lot of his work.

Go look him up.

I dare you.
