Woweee, what a beautiful night! Last week we celebrated the launch of FUSÃO, a cookbook inspired by the beauty of Brazil- its ingredients, diverse landscapes and most importantly, its people.

This book was a true team effort, and it meant the world to showcase the work of my beloved collaborators. @pdrpinho joined us from Brazil and we displayed his stunning photography alongside @warren_rodricks breathtaking videography, projected above the musicians. Endless thanks to @romieg for producing this mega artistic project in which we travelled over 18,000km!!!!!

Fellow Brazilian-in-London @babo_moreno and his band played a beautiful set of Brazilian-inspired jazz (his debut album is out now, go cop it), followed by an insanely brilliant DJ set from @michael.np , who took us on a seamless journey from samba to baile funk.

We feasted on dishes and drinks from the book, expertly brought to life by @caterlondon (the best caterers in the biz!). Massive thanks for executing everything to perfection!

I’m incredibly grateful to these amazing suppliers who contributed to the night:

FUSÃO is out today! A tribute to Brasil, my mother’s beautiful homeland, its vibrant cuisine, multicultural history and the diversity of its landscapes.

With beautiful shots of Brasil by @pdrpinho and delicious food photography by @kimlightbody_photo, FUSÃO brings together 80 recipes and stories from some amazing people I’ve met on my travels. In this book, I’m more of a guide, sharing the voices and experiences of incredible experts who’ve welcomed me into their world. FUSÃO is more than just a cookbook, it’s a visual journey through Brasil, with stunning photography of Brasil by @pdrpinho and stories of some incredible people I’ve met on my travels. Like Silvio, who produces azeite de dendê - red palm oil- using ancestral methods passed down through generations. We spent an unforgettable few days with Silvio and his beautiful family and you can read more about how they produce the best red palm oil I’ve ever tasted in FUSÃO, which is out next Thursday.
