Swing & A Miss! An all improv comedy feature. Was happy to be cast and work with talented actors. Spent only a few hours together one day in September 2023. Really didn’t know what I was doing but just went for it! Felt lucky to have the opportunity. Was nervous once I had to deliver- didn’t say much…slowly coming out of my shell. I have a line in the beginning and a line or two at the end. I love acting and it’s journey. Being middle aged, I’ve also recently realized it’s definitely not a race and that things will take time…and this is OK. Meeting like-minded, empathetic beings - I’m truly grateful for other actors. We’re “weird”, in the best way. For years, countless others asked if I was an actress, (so animated and full of energy) that I should think about it, why am I behind the camera (because at one time I throughly enjoyed technical mechanical skills)…so I expressed myself in this quieter way. Even though I loved being on stage as a kid and my childhood dream was to be a singer, now I find it even difficult to perform in an acting class. LOVE being on-set though! For some crazy reason, I want this. Sometimes, I’m still asking myself why and if this is right. At this point, I may be doing this for the rest of my life…slowly…not only solely responsible for myself - I have a kid ya know! #actress #ny #nyc #timelessprofession #nevertoolate #improv #lifeexperience
