To my sweet prague friends… you know who you are. 🫵👀some of you were actually really great. the rest of you (you also know who you are) are total chuds

¡kidding! 🤪🫶 i love every single one of you.
we spent the month chud maxing together: eating way too much creme de la creme, drinking, staying up until ungodly hours, absolutely demolishing meals, and somehow turning every normal outing into a bit.

i genuinely felt like i was living in a sitcom. the kind where every episode somehow gets more ridiculous than the last.
let’s just say… someone became absolutely convinced one night that his mother was from manchester, his father was from cork, and his “dah” owned a pub. someone else casually made not one but TWO key lime pies for the group. someone tried convinced a bunch of germans she was my sister. someone perfected both a german accent and a deep passion for “rules.” someone is definitely not from jersey. someone marched through prague with the confidence of a king goose leading a flock of even sillier geese. someone campaigned tirelessly for pierogies. someone finally lived out her princess dreams by seeing a real castle, like the real princess she is (fun fact: she was named after a princess actually). someone split a vodka flight with moi. someone has a lovely nose. somehow we all ended up wearing traditional flower crowns around kraków—including the boys—and yes... some of us may or may not have licked the walls in the salt mines. sadly i did not)

i don’t think i’ll ever forget this weird little family we accidentally became. thanks for making prague feel like home.

zizkov (my neighborhood!) I only lived there for a little bit but I definitely feel the zizkov pride.

Facts:
1) In July 1420, Žižka led a heavily outnumbered peasant army to a decisive victory over the forces of Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund on Vítkov Hill (which borders the district).

2) Žižkov was an independent city before it was incorporated into Prague in 1922. Because of its working-class roots and history of revolution, locals sometimes refer to it proudly as the “Free Republic of Žižkov”.
