Ron Baker was one of the defining players of 2010s college basketball. The Wichita State star helped lead the Shockers to a Final Four appearance, an undefeated regular season, and multiple deep NCAA Tournament runs.

Known for his toughness, leadership, and clutch performances, Baker became one of the most memorable players of the March Madness era.

Can Tyler kolek make a push to be the go to point guard off the bench?

The 2024, #34 pick has shown some flashes of brilliance in his first two seasons.

Having great mentors (Jalen Brunson & Jose Alvarado) I would love to see coach Mike Brown give the keys to the neo fight and really see if the Knicks may have two bonafide star point guards on their hands.

Do y'all think Kolek can make a big leap going into season 3?

This might be unpopular, but do Knicks fans not give Julius Randle enough credit?

People always talk about Carmelo Anthony and how he carried the franchise but Melo only reached the Eastern Conference Semifinals once as a Knick (2012-13).

Julius Randle reached the Eastern Conference Semifinals twice during his Knicks tenure.

Who do y'all think has done more for the city of New York?

Is this a shock? Wichita State is in our all-time rankings at No. 66!

If you know anything about the Shockers, it makes sense - over 1,700 wins, 16 tourneys, and a pair of Final Fours in 1965 and 2013.

The program first saw some national relevancy under Ralph Miller, who led them to their first Final Four and won 220 games in 13 seasons. They would have another great stretch with five bids from 1976-88.

But the Shockers’ best era has been the 21st century - seven straight bids under Gregg Marshall from 2012-18 and nine total since 2006. The 2013 run was extra special as they did it as a 9-seed, upsetting Gonzaga and Ohio State and giving 1-seed Louisville all they could handle.

Wichita State has been the Gonzaga of the Midwest - and they have had some outstanding players to show for it: Cleanthony Early, Ron Baker, Landry Shamet, and Fred VanVleet.

While they’ve had some so-so years lately, a 24-win season last year has to have you excited about their near future!
