What a JOY it was to become a part of this TV family! 🧡🧡🧡 From the beginning til the end, Family Reunion has been one of THE best family TV series on television and I’m proud to have directed episodes each season. The final 10 episodes 🥺stream on 10/27 at midnight and as usual, you’re in for a treat of comedy, music, dance, love and real-life family situations. Directing this series was one of the most challenging because the creators and producers expertly packed every episode with most of these elements! It was an honor to launch my episodic TV directing career on this show with all of the beautiful and talented people in front of and behind the camera. This is a show that families can enjoy for generations. Bittersweet seeing it come to an end. Forever grateful for the opportunity. Thank you @megdeloatch #familyreunionnetflix #Director #Grateful #NAACPAWARDWINNING #ThatsJesus #Part5 #BlackWomanDirector (Slide #3, Personal BTS 📸 thanks to @tracicarterholsey)

Alexa and Katie. 💜 What a wild ride. Looking back it all still seems like a surreal blur... I was just 14 when I booked the role of Hannah, and it was a dream come true. ✨ Getting to work with one of my childhood inspirations @paris_berlec was amazing! 💕 and also getting to work with the unbelievably talented and kind @eddieshindig @tiffanithiessen and @joliejenkins was a blessing. I’ve learned so much from them. 💖

And then there is Finn!!! 💝💕 When we started the show @finn_carr08 and I were the only kids in school. We quickly became great friends because he is hilarious and super thoughtful! 💗 He even threw me a surprise sweet 16 party on set! It’s a birthday I’ll never forget! 🥳💞✨💖 On the last season of the show I turned 17, and then the final episodes dropped on @Netflix days before my 18th birthday. I don’t even know how to sum up in a post just how much I’ve learned from this crazy beautiful group of people!
A special thanks to @amyrbrown23, @pockettoasian, Nikki Carr, @anitamedic and Mike who helped me get through some tough times. Finally, thank you to @heatherwordham for seeing something special enough in me to make me a part of this beautiful and heartfelt journey that you so lovingly created. 🥰
I will always carry Alexa and Katie in my heart. 💜✨ @alexaandkatie #AlexaAndKatie #netflix (P.S. The last two pictures are very emotional because it was a series wrap for me Kerri and Iman 😭)

It blows my mind that I daily get so much love and encouragement from all of you. It means a lot to me that you enjoy my character #Shaka. Truth is, there are so many people behind the scenes that help me bring him to life. This episode was directed by @winamorlove and written by @hankjigs and @etherealdr3am. Can't even begin to put into words how excited I was to work on this episode they created. A special thanks has to go out to our incredible stunt coordinator @speedychristopher. Thanks for bringing in @luciromberg & @janaceks_dressage_journey. You guys made me feel safe. @a_lyonsess @rbrooks982007 you always go out of your way to make sure I stay focused and always give 100 percent. Grateful for the both of you. Enjoy these behind the scenes rehearsal clips. I really hope you liked this episode. It's one of my favorites. #Shaka @familyreunionnetflix @netflixfamily @netflix
