POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Throwback to 2024 - this was the cast of IN THE LAST LIGHT on the eve of our short residency at @us_paar_residency

@abhaymaha and I excitedly welcomed the Bangalore family into our Mumbai home for one night before a hectic morning getting to the ferry.
The same gang prevails and we will hopefully have them in this and other strange constellations at our Bangalore home too.
Inshallah the heart and the home will grow together.

At 43 I'm able to look back and say, it truly has been about the people.
And I suspect it will continue to be.

Love even in the toughest of times...
And laughter because maybe that is prayer too.
And of course eye rolls and thanas if you are part of this room 🤪😃

Every space has a story. Some are waiting for you to create one. ✨

A room full of possibilities — where bodies find movement, ideas find form, and people come together to make a little magic.

From rehearsals that run a little longer to workshops that spark something new, from shoots to spontaneous ideas — there’s room for it all at Natyaluru. 🤎

Your next idea needs a space. We might just have it.

Now open for rentals.

📍 Natyaluru, The East-West School, Basavanagudi 📩 DM us to book your space.

Come move. Create. Make something happen.

Day 6/40

Some faces I still see, some I haven’t seen in years. Some friendships stayed, some became beautiful memories. ❤️

From little schoolgirl days to growing up, these photographs hold so many pieces of me — the laughter, the madness, the activities, the friendships, and all those little moments mean so much today.

To everyone who was a part of those years, whether we’re still in touch or haven’t spoken in ages, thank you for being a part of my story. And if you happen to see yourself in these pictures, know that you’re remembered with a smile. 🥹❤️

We may not be in each other’s present, but we’ll always have a little piece of each other’s past.

Day 3/40
Apparently, I was incapable of just going to school and coming home. 😂

Athletics
Choir
Dance
Rowing
Sketching
……. The list seems endless!!

And probably a few more things that I’ve conveniently forgotten. Or didn’t find a photo of!

I think I was always happiest when I was doing something.
Turns out… not much has changed. ❤️

DRIFT with Karthik Tantri
Contemporary Dance Intensive at Natyaluru.

DRIFT is a 6-hour, two-day journey into movement, designed for dancers who want to move beyond the familiar and discover new ways of moving, thinking, and creating.

Through contemporary technique, floor work, improvisation, movement research, and composition, the intensive explores the body as a space for curiosity, expression, and discovery.

Led by Karthik Tantri, DRIFT encourages dancers to work with weight, breath, momentum, space, instinct, and musicality — while developing greater awareness, physicality, and individuality in movement.

Whether you're stepping into contemporary dance for the first time or deepening an existing practice, DRIFT is a space to question, experiment, let go, and evolve.

When: 10th & 11th October 2026, 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Where: Natyaluru, The East West School, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru

An old European house turned into a dance floor?

That’s what it looked like.

Except I was inside Athangudi Palace in Chettinad.

The house alone makes you stop and stare.

Add the dancing, and suddenly you’re wondering where to look.

What a performance! ✨

Beautifully choreographed by @ronitamookerji

And just like that, the Fifth edition of the Chettinad Heritage & Culture Festival comes to an end. What an incredible few days!

An event of this scale takes the effort, passion and commitment of so many people. It was wonderful to see everyone come together to celebrate the culture, heritage, food, architecture and spirit of Chettinad and make this edition such a tremendous success.

Here are a few glimpses from a very memorable festival.

May this beautiful celebration of Chettinad continue to grow bigger, stronger and more meaningful with every passing year. Until next time!
