@pearls.social is a passion project I’ve been quietly building for seven years.
Inspired by my sister-in-law Katie Shannon and her courageous battle with cancer, I wanted to create a place to preserve our most precious content — and send messages into the future.

The first time I tried, I got it wrong. I spent a lot of money and It was crap….the project stalled.

Life happened. Time passed.

Then two years ago, on my bike, a “Pearl of Wisdom” popped into my head — something I wanted to record and send to my son.
It was the exact use case I’d imagined for Pearls… but it didn’t exist.

Right then, I was like, I have to
build this!

Over the last two years, I’ve met and partnered with the most extraordinary people who believed in this vision as much as I did and gave more than I could have ever asked for.

From meeting @theyin in London (we both cried over coffee) and watching him design the most beautiful app I ever…

To choosing @wolfpack.digital ..after interviewing dozens of developers around the world.. maybe the best and most important business decision I’ve ever made.

To my LA friends who gave their time and genius — @edwarren for your endlessly inspiring marketing mind, to @mike.vs.machine for your brutal honesty…“Mate, you can’t afford me, but if you can afford him, @ronmoon is the man” and you were right.

@ronmoon, the most talented, beautiful and generous man who bent massively to give us world class assets, that I could not be more proud to share… to my pal @mmargeson, who had me in awe and tears, again 🤦‍♂️ as he scored our short film and magically brought it to life.

And finally Bobby @pcma.productions - the most incredible partner and supporter I could wish for. Pearls simply wouldn’t exist without you. I Love you, man. ❤️

Now it’s time to put Pearls into the world. I won’t lie — I’m terrified.

Ok, I’d rate this 3nd in my top 5 golf experiences. The views were insane. It was called @hiddenvalleygolf about 1.5hr from Santa Monica.
.
• Every tee box was either down hill or up hill. • There was no flat ground beyond the tee box so fun.
• The bunkers sucked, which was painful. Just dirt no real sand under the top cover.
• greens slow and fluffy but fun to chip into.
• It was hot AF, either super windy or no wind
• Drivable par 4’s soooo fun.
• Play was slow

Last week we gathered @thepenmar as a community of Angelenos to raise funds for those affected by the LA Fires last month. It was a special experience and we are so grateful to everyone who helped us make this a reality. We were able to raise almost $50,000 and are excited to pass that on to our beneficiaries this week. Thank you to everyone who participated.
