1. 23 years of luck having Ronni as my (friend/ family =) framily , and now we can add international hangouts to our list of awesomeness!! 2. We went full-on tourist mode and did a riverboat tour: this is the riverside view of parliament and Big Ben. 3. The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel originally meant to be temporary. It was so successful —bringing in up to 500.000£ (= $612,000 = 591.297€) per day— that they decided to keep it installed permanently. 4. Each of the 32 capsules has room for 25 people to sit, stand, enjoy the views from the second highest observation point in the city 135 metres (443 ft). It goes around about once every thirty minutes—slow enough that they don’t need to stop the wheel for passengers to board or disembark. 5. Plenty of houseboats lined the river on my morning run. Though the summer and two heat waves seem to have the water level quite low as all of these were grounded, like literally not floating on water. 6. The Tower of London has served many purposes: castle home, prison, museum. Founded in 1066, it was the Royal castle for most of its life. Then served as protein. You can see just above the water edge “Entry to the Traitors Gate” engraved in stone. Though closed off now, they used to take prisoners through this archway to their doom. 7. Original Roman street paths and walls dating to AD100 dot the originally name city of Londinium. Also inside the grounds of the Tower of London. 8. Inside the White Tower is the medieval king’s throne room. 9. Or touristy boat cruise went by Shakespeare’s Globe Theater. 10. Tower Bridge, NOT London bridge, is the iconic gothic style bridge completed in 1894.
