In Clau Clau as it is in Heaven 💛

Today our missions team leaves for South Africa. Ronnie, Noah, and I were supposed to be on this trip, but God had other plans for us this season. While it’s hard knowing we won’t get to hug our friends we’ve come to love so deeply, we trust that God’s plans are always better than our own.

My heart truly aches to be there, but I know that the same God who called us to South Africa is the God who called us to stay home with our family. He is sovereign, faithful, and already at work in Clau Clau as well as here at home.

To our team, we love you and are continuously praying for divine protection, guidance, and for each of you to be used in mighty ways. Give our babies extra hugs from us!! Even though we can’t be there physically, our hearts are with you, and we know God’s presence will be there every step of the way.

4 ways to connect with with God:

1. Prayer
2. Scripture
3. Christian Community
4. Life experiences

It’s not complicated, but it does take intention.
A real relationship with the Lord is built by daily intentionality.

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.” — Psalm 1:2 (ESV)

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”
— Matthew 28:19 (ESV)

Most people walk into the gym with headphones on, head down.
But what if it actually was your mission field?

Every single person God puts in your path is an opportunity to share your faith. Any conversation can be directed into a Gospel conversation.

Episode with @ronnieprocopio drops April 15th.

Dark and alone…. But I love it here

when I was younger, I was an athlete to escape life.

Now… I’m an athlete so I can keep living it.

I played everything growing up basketball, volleyball, softball… And then beach volleyball into my 30s. Some of my best memories are my kids sitting and eating the sand watching me play… And looking back I think I was still escaping then too.

My walk with Christ has been the same.

I used to run to him when life was hard or when I made mistakes

Now I run to him to worship, to be thankful, and to celebrate everything that I have

even when I was young, I chose him. I’d ride the church bus alone on Wednesday, and Sundays just to worship. I didn’t need anyone else there… I just wanted to be close to him.

I train alone in the dark so I can be free to pray, to worship, to cry, to yell and to push myself without distraction

My training isn’t for everyone… And that’s OK

Sometimes when it gets hard, I remind myself… My suffering will never compare to what Jesus did for me

And I keep going

I didn’t grow up with the best childhood or an easy life

There were times even after I had kids that I really struggled… Even sleeping in my car for periods of time.… not knowing where our next meal would come from

But God always provided

And now… We’re not just getting by, we’re thriving

Because we chose to put him first

And I made sure my kids didn’t just know about him, but they had a relationship with him

I made a lot of mistakes in my life

But I see things differently now

I’ve always been different and I always will be

I didn’t choose him

He chose me

and one day… He’s coming back

I pray the people I love are ready too
