Aug 27th, 2022 🗽 DA' BLOCK Fest

@dablockbx was a labor of love for the community, a celebration of culture, and a musical showcase in The Bronx.

We'll never forget the day @durieuxmusic gave us a call and said, "Yo, Nando, I have an idea for a festival...what do you think?" And after a few moments, a few thrown together ideas, we were locked in and Da'Block began taking shape.

Alongside the incredible @ayannathesinger of @theuptownmelody, we got to work with our teams and contacts to bring in bands, musicians, vendors and more for a day of celebration. From media runs to staffing, production costs and venue logistics, and more, three Bronx-based brands came together to build something beautiful.

Naturally, we hosted DB at our second home - the one and only @thebronxbrewery (shout-out Kev S.!) featuring @empanology on deck, as always.

🔸️TFAKs 15th Anniversary Run officially starts this Saturday - what's next? Stay tuned.

Nov 9th, 2019 📍THE FOXHOLE BX NY

In 2019, we said, "Why not?" and went on to transform our literal basement into a DIY music venue and creative space for local artists, touring bands, and even local production houses.

From Bronx-born, hometown heroes, like @leftintheatticband, @beanie_weather, @another_astronaut, @ronxband, and more to regional acts like @the_midnight_fire, and @jukeboxromantics, we developed a space all our own - and it worked like a charm.

From hosting international band, @eatdefeatuk, in a Bronx basement, to filming the first few episodes of our documentary series "B-SIDES", we made The Foxhole another home for music.

We developed the space, the crew made it happen, and the creativity flourished - all for our community.

In our 15th year, what's next for The Fox and King? Wait and see, and we'll catch you on the block.

Oct 19th, 2018 ⛓️ The Return to FLC!

Genuinely, this was one of the most important events we've ever had the honor of producing in our fifteen-years. We, and countless others, were raised by @bronxunderground and being given the opportunity to lead the new @theundergroundflc was something we never expected.

With a legendary line-up, a beautiful team, and the support of our borough, The Underground's first night at FLC was an incredible experience. Nostalgia wasn't the word - it was like being back home.

Playing a part in bringing music back to the place that inspired the creation of TFAK is something we'll never forget and always be thankful for.

With our 15th Anniversary coming up, what's next for us? You'll see. Thank you, BX. Thank you, community.

Wrote this about mental health and fighting these demons. Everyone wakes up everyday battling something, no matter how small or big. Life is full of surprises both good and bad. Life is not promised to anyone. It’s up to us to do what we can with the time we have here. We can accept to suffer or stand up and demand ourselves some change, because life is also a constant stream of change. Choose love, understanding and passion. Darkness is only a dark hole that sometimes has no return. Stay up family 💯🖤🙏🏾.
