The Golden Mushroom Temple. Two teams compete to get to the Golden Vault to get their wish granted.

Roo @roohallow goes to sleep under the giant mushroom. Unaware of the growing menace that surrounds him.
As he sleeps smaller mushrooms grow around his body and by morning these mushroom mutations (@t_lac76 ) have consumed him and the ground has taken our friend.

In the morning Jules @julesjungle2022 and Jasper @chaz609 realise what has happened 😱 “This is the spot!” Says Jasper “This is where I left him last night”. “Say nothing!!” Comes Jules reply “The others will be upset, we will have to keep this to ourselves” they make a plan.
Team Shrooms 6

Meanwhile, Team Rainbow 8.
The team are having a nice time, having moved on along the rainbow road they come to a red area with bushes giving them heart shaped fruit. They are delicious and Elena @brick_cognition has tested them and declared them safe.
The team sit and relax and eat. Pernilla @legonillan asks everyone what would be best to wish for when they get to the Golden Vault? discussion starts…..

Meanwhile, Cassie @colorificcassie has arrived with a squad of Nifflers in the mushroom caves and it appears she is there to meet someone or something…….

Meanwhile, Wyatt @collectiblesfromthecopperstate has left the Blue Zone after a nice nap and some food and has even found a doughnut 🍩 to eat.
He walks down a corridor he doesn’t remember and sees a door and heads for that.

Meanwhile, Scientist Sleeps @sleepswithlego is working on her latest potions and it’s seems everything is going well Ned will be pleased with her progress. Time to transplant some new mutations out.

Team Rainbow 🌈 are enjoying the sights as they walk the rainbow road. They are bonding happily and Pernilla @legonillan decides that it’s time to talk about what they’re going to wish for, and who’s wish would be the most beneficial to everyone, at this point everyone tries to convince the others their wish would be better.
Unfortunately they don’t seem to notice that they’re being followed.

Meanwhile, after the loss of Rich team Shrooms are trying to stay positive. Piotr @piotrbricks points out more mushroom mutations that he thinks came from @t_lac76 “I can see his ideas everywhere” says Piotr.
Jules @julesjungle2022 and Jasper @chaz609 are busy whispering between themselves and they obviously have some plan to make sure they’re the ones who get to the Golden Vault.

Darknesses falls quickly in the mushroom caves as the crystals that illuminate the caves fade for another day. As the team reach the edge of a forest of mushrooms Jasper decides they can’t go on and they must camp here for the night.
@darksilversoul and @hlc_halloween_witch start to glow again in the darkness of the caves.
They all agree to camp and hope they can find food in the morning.
Jasper gives Roo @roohallow something to sleep on as Roo camps under a very large mushroom. We hope he’s safe…..😬

Meanwhile, Scientist Sleeps @sleepswithlego has been looking for her needles (sadly not for crochet, she hasn’t time for that) she then starts to take samples of blue mushrooms, her latest experiment.

Team Shrooms wake up and they discover that Rich is missing. The crystals that cover the roof of the caves glow and give a daylight feeling so now the team can see more.
@hlc_halloween_witch is the first to spot a body part! “It’s a foot” she screeches! Then Piotr @piotrbricks pops up with an arm! “This looks like Rich’s arm to me” he says looking on the edge of tears.
“That’s it !” Shouts Jules @julesjungle2022 “Rich is dead let’s drop the body parts and get moving! We don’t know how long this light will last” they pack up camp and start to move on. Jasper @chaz609 breaks the news to Chris @inappropriatepiratebricks that his chum is dead and out of the competition.
Chris is a little upset.

Meanwhile, Team Rainbow are having a fun time traveling the Rainbow Road it’s bright and colourful and they chat and meet some friendly creatures.

Meanwhile, Cassie @colorificcassie has very quickly brought the Niffler fight to an end. A little too quickly Bianca @smallafol thinks she suspects there’s something more going on.

Meanwhile, Emma @emma_loves_to_bake_ was spotted walking through the Temple corridors with some delicious baked goods, we don’t know where she is going?? This seems very suspicious.

After receiving the Ministry of Magic as an early birthday and Christmas gift from my mother, I immedeatly knew I wanted to make some minor changes to the set. The most important one being the tiled off floor. I knew it would look good, but the end result is just 10x better as I'd imagined.

I added a tiled floor in the court room which was inspired by the movies.

I also added additional minifigures like Bellatrix Lestrange, Pius Thicknesse, Albert Runcorn, Mafalda Hopkirk, Reginald Cattermole, Corban Yaxley and Neville Longbottom. Furthermore I created some purist custom minifugures of Luna Lovegood (Battle of the Department of Mysteries), Ginny Weasley (Battle of the Department of Mysteries), Cornelius Fudge (head swap) and Rufus Scrimgeour (based on his book appearance).

What do you think? Was this a worthy upgrade of the set?

The Golden Mushroom Temple

Far under the occupied areas of The Golden Mushroom Temple we find our first team. Jasper @chaz609 has given his team a shortcut through the mushroom caves. Unfortunately it’s dark and Piotr @piotrbricks has already started complaining. Jules @julesjungle2022 is convinced at least some of these strange mushrooms are creations of @t_lac76 “Many of Scientists Sleeps mutations are based on his ideas” Jules says “I went on his mushroom training course…. Unfortunately I can’t remember which ones are dangerous!! Why didn’t I pay more attention to @t_lac76 ??!”

“We will be fine!” Announces Jasper “let’s set up camp here for the night we all need the rest.”
Roo @roohallow says he’s sticking with the girls as they’re glowing in this strange dark light.

Meanwhile, the other team are still waiting “is something going to happen!?” Says Ulrike @cardmakernr1 and as if on command the alcove starts to shimmer the next thing they see is a bright and colourful rainbow!🌈
Hev @le60_hev jumps forward “Oh a lucky rainbow! This is a sign I had a note about this. Let’s go!” With that Hev jumps on to the rainbow and bounces upwards.

Meanwhile, Wyatt @collectiblesfromthecopperstate has found some food in the blue zone and is quite happy.

Meanwhile, Bianca @smallafol is determined to find out what my side project is and is hiding to see if she can follow me.

Meanwhile, Scientist Sleeps @sleepswithlego is admiring her Orange creations which are growing quite well.
In walks The Enforcer @funkopopkollection “I’ve been asked to tell you Emma @emma_loves_to_bake_ needs more supplies in the kitchen.”
She dashes off as she has to get back to Mission Control.

The Golden Mushroom Temple.

Finally Jasper @chaz609 comes to a stop next to a beautiful window.
“Here it is” he says
“Have you gone mad??!” Asks Jules @julesjungle2022 “This doesn’t look like a secret passageway to me!”
Jules starts to doubt her plan and wonders if she’s gathered the right team!?!!?

“Think about it” says Jasper “The Golden Mushroom Temple is miles underground! Who needs windows underground??”
To prove his point Jasper sticks his hand into the window and then jumps through!

“Fantastic!” Says Rich @lego_dad_and_the_kids “let’s go!” And the rest of the team go through.
Roo @roohallow is the last and it seems his Niffler, Niffler Spot isn’t going with him.
“Can’t go Roo the Great Niffler Ned has forbidden us to help” Roo doesn’t want to leave his friend but Spot insists “And don’t forget the spiders are friendly, don’t be frightened by them.” Are Niffler Spots final words of wisdom as Roo disappears.

Meanwhile Wyatt @collectiblesfromthecopperstate is still wandering the corridors 🤷‍♂️ lost and probably hungry.

Meanwhile the other AFOLs who have been abandoned have all decided to stick together and get to the Golden Vault first.
With Andy @andrzejr3030 taking the lead being directed by Pink Thingy (Olive) this group are in search of the Ancient One! Who Pink Thingy insists will help them. @legonillan @smithy_bricks @adrian_c308 @le60_hev @brick_cognition @lego_dad90 and @cardmakernr1 all make a dash following Andy….

The Golden Mushroom Temple

Jasper @chaz609 has his team running around the corridors of the temple. Having taken charge of finding their way to the golden vault, Jasper is trying to find the best shortcut.
“It’s around here somewhere…” he says
“ no not this one”. “ or this one! ……It’s just around the corner,” Jasper declares.
Jules @julesjungle2022 wonders if Jasper knows what he’s doing. “ what’s wrong with this one?” she demands as Jasper dismisses a statue that looks like it could be hiding a secret passageway.
As he dashes off Jasper says “ we’re nearly there!”

Meanwhile, while the other group discussed their next step, Bianca @smallafol catches up with Elwin @lego_dad90 who has been unfortunately shrunken following his trip through the portal. They discuss the benefits of being smaller than everybody else. Bianca is pleased to have someone who can relate to her tiny problem.

Meanwhile, The Enforcer @funkopopkollection who was pinned down by some alien creatures that have emerged from Scientist Sleeps experiments, is saved when Cassie @colorificcassie comes in the creatures immediately make a dash for it. Cassie finds some very strange plants that she can use as whips. She is extremely excited with her new torture weapons.

Meanwhile in mission control, I am unaware as the alien creatures pass by.

Where is scientist sleeps when you need her???

The Golden Mushroom Temple

Jules @julesjungle2022 is busy plotting, deciding who will be most useful on this adventure.
She turns to Roo @roohallow and asks if he wants to team up, Jules thinks his knowledge of the temple and the magical world will aid them in their task.
Next she gathers Chris @inappropriatepiratebricks and Rich @lego_dad_and_the_kids thinking they could be useful.

Roo brings along @darksilversoul and @hlc_halloween_witch their skills with magical creatures will be invaluable, then Jasper @chaz609 joins the team he’s a brave adventurer and his skills will be needed.
Piotr @piotrbricks is hanging around and joins the group, he doesn’t want to be left behind.
Jasper says he knows a good place to start and the group dash out of the lounge…

The rest of the AFOLs are unaware that they have left, too busy talking it takes them awhile to realise they are now on their own.

“ We’ve been abandoned” says Elena @brick_cognition “ I can’t believe that the boys have left me” says Adrian @adrian_c308

Meanwhile, Scientist Sleeps @sleepswithlego is transplanting some mushrooms.

Meanwhile, The Enforcer @funkopopkollection encounters some very dangerous creatures, where is Cassie?? @colorificcassie nowhere to be found when she is needed!

Another day at the golden mushroom temple.

The Golden Mushroom Temple

Cassie @colorificcassie has dropped everyone off in the lounge and it is a buzz with chatter and gossip as everyone try’s to find out what is going on. People try to influence others with their wish insisting theirs is the best, if the golden vault can only grant one wish then they must decide which one to go for.
“The golden goat would be best it would make us all lucky” Jasper @chaz609 can be heard saying.
“Oh no, the book of shadows would be better. It would make us all powerful.” someone else has heard saying.
For some reason Rich @lego_dad_and_the_kids seems to think a golden saw would be the best thing to get.🤷‍♂️

Andy @andrzejr3030 is busy catching up with Olive (pink thingy) she is pleased to see him and snuggles him and then starts whispering things in his ear about the competition. Others moving to hear what is being said and work out what is going on..

Jules @julesjungle2022 the birthday girl works the room trying to work out the best group to form an alliance with.
Elena @brick_cognition hopes that Jules will side with her but it looks like Jules has other ideas.

Meanwhile, Bianca @smallafol catches up with Niffler Ned it seems she has been trying to work out what I’ve been doing.

Meanwhile scientist sleeps @sleepswithlego delivers the cone plants to Cassie in the Vita mush gift shop, they have outgrown her labuary. Cassie is very pleased to receive them. Scientist sleeps then head back to clean her Labuary.

Meanwhile I have been sent to Mission control (my side project will have to wait) where I encounter some surprise visitors.

Another day at the Golden mushroom temple.

The Golden Mushroom Temple

Recently I’ve been unavailable to help at the Spa as I’ve been working on my own secret project.
A few shots of me riding thought the corridors of The Golden Mushroom Temple were taken by Bianca @smallafol
I can neither confirm nor deny any rumours.

Meanwhile Scientist Sleeps @sleepswithlego is very pleased with the progress of her experiments. The cone plants seem to be coming along nicely and even these snails we acquired from out vacation on another planet seem to enjoy the clippings. 🤔 I hope they don’t mutate the snails any further 😬😬
The orange plant has really grown overnight!

Meanwhile Emma @emma_loves_to_bake_ the temples resident Chef is very busy creating some nice treats (or should we say one last meal) for all the AFOLs who have joined us for the competition to find the Golden Vault and get a wish.

All these AFOLs are now gathered in the Lounge and are starting to talk about the competition and weighing up their prospects of winning.
Who lives? Who dies? and Who will get their wish???

At The Golden Mushroom Temple.

I’m having a little difficulty with my Portal! It’s making fizzing sounds ??
A flick of my wand and it’s fixed, there’s has been a lot of visitors so it’s not surprising.

Next arrival is ……. @lego_dad90 😱😱😱 oh dear he seems to have shrunk or something?!
Not to worry I’m sure we can fix it. At some point.
I flick my wand at the portal again to give another power boost to fix the problem, poor Elwin looks small next to Cassie @colorificcassie who has arrived to take him to the lounge. He looks happy enough.

Next arrival is ….. Alex! @smithy_bricks it’s nice to see Alex again and just as we say hello another arrival! It’s Roo! And Niffler Spot! Everyone smiles and greets each other and Roo @roohallow talks of dreams and a calling to join a quest there’s even a mention of Spiders!?
🙄 sounds like he’s been sniffing the mushrooms again.
We all leave and head to the lounge chatting. I flick my wand to close the portal.

A short while later Cassie is escorting some visitors around to the lounge they can’t be left to roam around alone for security reasons. She overhears @cardmakernr1 and @chaz609 talking about Rumours of a Golden Goat ??
@legonillan seems to be looking for something??
“Backs against the wall!” Shouts Cassie

And rushing past is Scientist Sleeps! @sleepswithlego she doesn’t even acknowledge the group as she dashes by with a plant pot in hand??!
“Needs to be bigger” she says

Life goes on.

Meanwhile back in the portal room the lights begin to flicker…. A portal is active…..
