Meet the people:
1. @yellow___forever is an architecture and design studio run by @danielleleshem and @cnaaniomer. You might have seen their designs if you have visited @coupe.tlv or @coffeeclub.tlv on Sheinkin St.

We asked them to make some custom-made furniture for us like a dining table, book shelf and chairs - and the result was so wow! Make sure to follow them and contact them if you ever need furniture or space designed just for you.

2. @koniakn is an art director and the owner of creative studio @studio_koniak, which specializes in strategy, branding, art direction, image making and more.

@studio_koniak is also one of the studios that we work with! The beautiful graphics in this reel were actually made by them.

3. @hagitwerner is the curator behind the art gallery @room25tlv (a unique art space in Herzl 16, which you can enter 24/7 with a door code).

She is also an architect and was involved in the design of @moranslowness.

Мы никак не могли обойти стороной тот широкий спектр познаний о Тель-Авиве, особенно в арт-сфере, которым, как и положено хорошему консьержу, обладает Оля Нощенко @olya.nn, шеф-консьерж @thevera_hotel.

Поэтому вместе с Олей и 🎥 @danilamerca24 мы начали снимать цикл историй об интересных и знаковых местах города, из которых постепенно сложится наш #concierge_guide_by_beinisrael.

И первым в кадр попало культовое здание на улице Herzl дом 16.

I look at these pictures of @ohsoarty first collaboration with @thevera_hotel and my heart expands. I see friendly faces that I’ve got to know over the years and that keep coming back to my tours. And new faces, tourists, expats and new immigrants, who are now starting their love story with Tel Aviv. Smiles, amazing art, discussions with artists I follow for so many years. My favorite city in the world with its old and new vibes. Skylines I’ve seen growing since I was a child.
It felt good, just for a moment, to take a pause from the hectic and worrying reality, that is ours, and to connect with art, people and Tel Aviv.
Thank you for joining us on our first @ohsoarty tour of the season with The Vera which sold out within a couple of days!

My new exhibition 'Scheherazade' is currently on display at @room25tlv

“Scheherazade” is an audio-visual installation that combines music and a light installation, a collaboration between the band The Hallways – Eilon Elikam, Aviv Ezra, and Isra Shalabi- artist Shai Dror, and music producer Eran Hadar.

At the core of the installation are two poems carefully chosen by Eran Hadar, creating a dialogue between a man and a woman. In contrast to the original music, where vocals are enveloped in electronic drums and synthesizers, this edit presents the vocals in a more raw and exposed manner. The first song, sung by Aviv Ezra, is an Iraqi melodrama originally performed by singer Pilpel Georgi, expressing the pain and sorrow of a lost love, filled with heartbreak and longing. On the other hand, the second song, “Ya Gamil” – You beautiful one, sung by Isra Shalabi, is a magical plea, encouraging the man not to fear and to embrace the light and hope found in love.

Shai Dror’s light installation adds a visual dimension to the music. Two windows hang from the room’s ceiling, serving as a canvas for Dror’s projected videos accompanying each segment. The first video, accompanying the man’s poetry, depicts a train journey from northern France to Marseille. Symbolically, this retrospective journey represents an attempt to cling to what has been lost, as Marseille marks the departure point for many of those seeking new beginnings. The second video, accompanying the woman’s song, presents a play of sunsets and the sea, capturing the essence of beauty and love, both profound and kitschy. Through the windows, the concrete videos blur, creating a sense of distance and three-dimensionality. The specific location becomes abstract yet familiar at the same time.

The installation takes its name from the character in the folk tale “One Thousand and One Nights,” Scheherazade, the storyteller who used her stories to save her life and win love. Furthermore, Scheherazade was once the name of Cairo’s renowned nightclub, where exceptional bands and musicians performed.
