<HEUNG, Bongcheon Nori Madang>

Founded in 1988, Bongcheon Nori Madang is a traditional Korean performing arts group based in Gwanak, Seoul. Rooted in Jinan Jungpyeong-gut and Goseong Ogwangdae, the group carries forward the traditions of pungmul, janggu drumming, mask dance, and other forms of Korean folk performance.

Rather than simply recreating tradition, Bongcheon Nori Madang brings rhythm, dance, sound, and movement together to create a vibrant shared experience where performers and audiences breathe, move, and celebrate as one.

Cow Blade, a track created and recorded in just 5 hours during the first session of the 2025 Song Camp on November 22nd from 2–7 PM.

The title twists the Korean proverb “Using a cow’s knife to slaughter a chicken,” meaning using excessive effort for a small task — and turns it into a message about giving everything you’ve got, even for the smallest things.

It’s a country hip-hop style track filled with that energy.

🔥 World premiere at the Song Camp Showcase Party on December 20th! 🔥
