What I thought was a normal Sunday brunch with the girls turned into the sweetest surprise — a 10 YEAR anniversary party for @reileyandrose 🥹💗

I have truly never been so surprised or felt so loved in my entire life. You guys sure know how to make a girl feel special.

It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that it’s been TEN YEARS since we started this ride.

Hundreds of weddings. Thousands of miles driven. More bouquets than I could ever count. A million late nights, early mornings, flower-filled cars, big dreams, happy tears and memories I’ll carry with me forever.

I still remember the very humble beginnings — working until 3 A.M. to finish a wedding, then recruiting Mom, Dad and just about any friend I could convince to come help me set it all up the next morning.

And somehow, those days turned into this.

Now I get to have @lyssahaley by my side every day, an incredible team of girls who pour their hearts into this business alongside me, and the opportunity to design weddings I once only dreamed would be possible.

There were so many days I prayed for this. I prayed for the weddings. I prayed for the growth. I prayed for the people. I prayed that this little dream of mine could become something real.

And looking around that room today, I realized just how many of those prayers were answered through people.

The list of people who helped get Reiley + Rose here is a mile long.

To my family and friends who showed up before there was ever a “team.” To every R+R girl who has worked the long days and late nights alongside me. To our incredible couples who trusted us with some of the most important days of their lives. And to the vendor friends who have supported us, recommended us and cheered us on along the way —

Thank you.

Thank you for loving us.
Thank you for trusting us.
Thank you for believing in this dream.

Ten years ago, I could only dream about where Reiley + Rose might go.

Today, I just feel incredibly grateful for how far we’ve come — and so excited for everything still ahead.

Here’s to 10 years of Reiley + Rose.
And to the little flower business that became so much more than I ever dreamed it could be. 💗

I have never been a methodical or analytical creative. I have always been a ~chaotic~ creative.

Exhibit A: When I was a kid, my cousin and I would go to our local paint-your-own-pottery studio. She would approach each piece of pottery with a method of perfection. Putting down tape before painting each stroke to have the perfectly straight line. Five hours later she would have an absolutely flawless piece of art (for a 12 year old of course).

On the other hand, I would take the paint brush straight to the pottery and would be done after 30 minutes embracing a “done is better than perfect” mindset, and impatiently waiting for her to “HURRY UP!” Lol

Today, with wedding photography, I try to take an approach that’s a mix of the two. I understand the need and importance for slowing down and seeking perfection. With details, with family photos, couple’s portraits - these things are important to be perfectly aligned and “just right” because these are the things that will live on forever in your photo album.

But at the same time, a wedding day moves fast. That chaotic creative in me really shows when I have 5 different cameras slung around me all at once. Sometimes I’m shooting so many different mediums and things throughout the day that the happy surprises of what comes out is all a part of the magic.

Flash, natural, film, digital, candid, posed - through it all - here’s to being a little Type A and a little Type B, and letting it flow, because a little chaos never killed nobody 🕺
