POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m done accepting “her labs are fine” when my daughter is clearly NOT fine. 💔

For nearly two years, I’ve watched my daughter silently struggle with something we still don’t have answers for.

What started as discomfort in her back has slowly moved into her shoulders, arms, and neck, causing these repetitive, tic-like movements that she describes as an uncomfortable urge she can’t seem to control.

We’ve seen the doctors. The specialists. The physical therapists. We’ve done the appointments.

And yet here we are. Still searching for answers.

As a mother, there is nothing more frustrating than watching your child struggle and feeling like you’re getting nowhere.

But God has a way of putting the right people in your path. 🙏🏼

At the HEAL Conference, I met Jen, the incredible woman behind Root Cause Wellness.

Her story stopped me in my tracks.

Her own son struggled with severe, debilitating OCD and eventually suicidal thoughts. Desperate to help him, she began searching beyond the answers she’d been given.

That journey led her into functional medicine, where she discovered specialized labs that she says helped uncover imbalances and guide changes that made a tremendous difference in her son’s life.

Today, she uses that experience to help other families searching for answers.

And now we’re beginning our own journey with her. ❤️

I’m not claiming functional medicine has all the answers. But I’m willing to keep asking questions, exploring possibilities, and advocating for my daughter until we better understand what’s happening in her body.

I’m bringing you along for the entire journey. The labs, the results, what we learn, and hopefully the answers we’ve been praying for.

Because I KNOW there are other moms out there watching their babies struggle while being told everything looks normal.

And if sharing our journey helps even ONE family feel less alone, it’s worth it.

👇 Comment ROOT and I’ll send you the information about Root Cause Wellness and the practitioner we’re working with!

Let’s get to the ROOT of it. 🌱❤️

A special message from an American hero. 🇺🇸

Sgt. @ssgtravismills Mills, one of only five quadruple amputees from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to survive his injuries, has a powerful message for everyone joining us at the HEAL Conference: Mental Health Edition.

His story is one of unimaginable adversity, resilience, purpose, and HOPE—and we are incredibly honored to have him be part of this important evening.

Join us at the conference to hear his message to our HEAL attendees. ❤️

We are incredibly blessed and honored to have a true hero joining us at the HEAL Conference: Mental Health Edition.

Lorain Police Officer Brent Payne has spent the last year recovering after being shot in a deadly ambush while responding to help fellow officers.

After 25 years in law enforcement and experiencing more tragedy than most of us can imagine, Brent shares that it wasn’t until this ambush—and the injuries and recovery that followed—that he began to truly address his own mental health.

Now, he is choosing to share his story.

Not because it’s easy.

But because another officer, first responder, veteran, parent—or anyone silently carrying the weight of trauma—may need to hear it.

There is incredible strength in asking for help. There is strength in talking about what hurts. And there is strength in realizing you don’t have to carry it alone.

We are deeply honored that Officer Brent Payne will take the HEAL stage and share his story of survival, recovery, and hope.

This is going to be a powerful night. ❤️

I used to think that mental health was only a brain issue, but learned so much more throughout my sons journey with PANDAS.

Mental Health is complex and can involve more than thoughts and emotions. Things like nutrition, inflammation, toxicities, deficiencies, sleep, and more can impact how our brain functions.

If you or a loved one suffers with brain health issues, we would love to invite you out to the HEAL Conference: Mental Health Edition Thursday, October 29th from 6-9 pm. Grab your tickets at www.healconference.org. We hope to see you there!

If you’ve tried everything for the racing mind, the anxiety, the heaviness that won’t lift... and nothing has worked, this night is for you

I hear this more than you might think.

The person who’s tried the therapy. The medication. The meditation app. The morning routine. The supplement stack. The prayer. The journal.

And still... the mind races. The anxiety sits in the chest like a weight. The heaviness comes and goes but never fully leaves.

And after enough rounds of “nothing working”... you start to wonder if this is just how life is going to feel.

I want you to know — that’s not the end of the story.

On October 29th, we’re gathering at The Aviator in Cleveland for a night dedicated to supporting those battling mental health. Anxiety. Depression. ADHD. OCD. PTSD. Postpartum. Suicidal thoughts. Racing mind. Nervousness. And everything in between.

We’ll hear from health and wellness leaders who understand that mental health isn’t just a brain issue — it’s a body issue. We’ll talk about the labs that get to the root cause of what’s actually happening underneath. We’ll hear from Sgt. Travis Mills — the 4th quadriplegic in the world — who has dedicated his life to helping others find their way through.

This night is for everyone. Students to seniors. And everyone in between.

If you’ve been searching for something deeper than another prescription... come as you are. You’re going to be held here.

Tag someone who needs to hear this today.

At 17 years old, Drew Kanaba had his suicide planned out.

Today, he’s standing on a stage to tell you what happened next.

At the HEAL Conference: Mental Health Edition, Drew will share his deeply personal journey through years of debilitating mental and physical symptoms—and what finally changed when he began looking beyond the diagnosis and asking a different question:

What is driving this?

He’ll share the functional labs that helped uncover pieces of his health puzzle, the changes he made, and how his darkest chapter ultimately became the reason he now helps others search for answers.

This isn’t a story about pretending everything gets better overnight.

It’s a story about HOPE.

About what can happen when someone refuses to stop searching for answers.

And about why we need to start looking at mental health through a wider lens.

If you or someone you love has ever felt hopeless, misunderstood, or like you’ve tried everything—come hear Drew’s story.

Diagnosed mental and behavioral health conditions among adolescents have increased 35% in recent years.

This isn’t about fear—it’s about awareness. Because every statistic represents a child, a family, a classroom, and a future. It’s time we stop whispering about mental health and start having honest conversations.

HOPEless.

It’s a word that too many people quietly carry.

When you’re living with anxiety, depression, OCD, panic attacks, PTSD, intrusive thoughts, or another mental health struggle, it can feel like no one understands. Like nothing is working. Like this is simply the way life is going to feel.

But look at that word again.

HOPE is still there.

That is why we created the HEAL Conference: Mental Health Edition.

This evening will bring together real stories, expert insight, honest conversations, and practical tools to help us look at mental health differently — and remind people that there is still hope, even when they can’t see it themselves.

Tickets are officially ON SALE NOW.
