📌 Planning for a loved one to visit your turf? SAVE THIS POST 🌀

Travel always seems to go by so fast. We often end up with a camera roll full of photos but barely any memories of how a place actually felt.

My family is spread across multiple states, and it's always a treat when my family comes to visit me in the D (and try to convince them to move here 🫪)

It is a perfect chance to slow down, pay attention, and show off the city that has loved me back 🥰

With my dad in town, we anchored the weekend around a few incredible local events but made sure to give ourselves plenty of time to just sit, observe, and connect. I sketch to notice, and the exact same idea applies to how I travel.

Swipe through the post to see how we spent 36 mindful hours in the city. Feel free to steal these ideas for your next hometown hosting gig or solo adventure.

What is your favorite local spot to show off when visitors come to town? Lemme know belowwww

After months of planning, installing, and tweaking, it was awesome to see Rooted Church officially open their doors this past weekend⛪✨

Our team worked hard to bring their vision to life with lighting, sound, and displays designed to support their services and create a great experience for everyone in the front pew all the way to the back. Seeing everything come together for opening day made it all worth it.

Huge thank you to Rooted Church for trusting us with this project — we’re so excited to see that the community loves the space as much as we do! 🙌

From dynamic lighting design to high-quality sound integration, every detail is being carefully built to create an environment where visitors can stay focused on what matters most.

It’s always rewarding to watch a project take shape — and this one is coming together beautifully. Stay tuned as we share more progress and the finished space soon. ⛪💡

Ok so I don't think this exist anywhere on the internet. @nateabellan wrote this for @rooted.ch and it happens to be my favorite Natan song and one of my worship favorites generally.

I think thiis song is important as we look forward to next year.

"We will be rooted in the gospel
Rooted in the word
Rooted in the love of God our Father
Rooted in the Savior
Rooted in the Cross
Rooted in His ever-flowing Blood
Rooted in the power of an empty tomb
Rooted in the Spirit who makes us new
Rooted in our Lord who comes again

Yes come quickly
Yes amen"

Been off social media for the past couple months so there's a photo dump of what I've been up to

Grateful to disconnect for awhile to connect with family, friends, memories, milestones, hobbies, and Jesus.

Merry Christmas y'all.

Had an amazing day hanging out with some Michigan church planters at @rooted.ch ‘s new building. So cool to see what God is doing through these men.

This week, we had the privilege of welcoming Ronnie Gable and Alfonso Mack, church planters of Rooted Church in the Royal Oak neighborhood of Detroit. They had the opportunity to connect with members of the Jerusalem Project, and Calvary staff. Praising God for the ways we can encourage church planting in Michigan.

First public scripture reading and call to worship at @rooted.ch - so excited to be a part of this amazing team, to be able to be called a founding member of this church, and to see what God is going to do through this church.

Soli Deo Gloria.

Today Resurrection Church voted to commission Ronnie Goble and Rooted Church to plant in the Woodward Corridor. We rejoice that God has clearly moved in Ronnie, the pastors, and our church body. Please join us in prayer for the Gobles and the entire planting team!
