There’s a version of me that exists

〰

+ I ask, I wonder, I’m curious, to know,

What version of me exists in your mind?

I find it interesting to reflect on the possibilities. Especially on these public platforms, where viewing is free, viewing is what it’s based off of.

Viewing, perceiving, judging, is the basis of this online world, primarily. But if you seek it as a means of inspiration, motivation, reminders to walk yourself back to Self, then you will see the version of me that sees the excellence in you.

Sometimes, with some people, I really love the person I become, + I’m sure they feel that.

Sometimes, when I’m in the wrong company, I don’t love the person I become. + I don’t think in those connections, that person, would see that.

You know the feeling, where you just don’t love who you’ve become, you fail to see the beauty, the gifts, the uniqueness of your very existence. You talk about people, instead of concept, idea, vision, dream. You talk about how you want it all to change, everything to be different, + you sit in a place of such discontent.

〰

+ all of these people have a different view of me, a different vision, to some I am limiting, to some I may be a liar, to some I may be a straight shooter.

I reflect on the safety cultivated in relationship, + how the person we show up as is truly affected by the safety created, the energy between beings, that exchange that you’re both feeling but no one can quite put a finger on.

I wonder what version of someone I’m getting as well, am I getting the one that’s threatened by me, am I getting the one that’s lit up by our conversations, am I getting the one who loves who they are when they’re with me?

Which version of you exists, in my mind?

Golden Hour 💛

Top selling scent and the first to sell out at the market.

Warm, sweet and a little smoky. I’m very proud of this scent and so excited to be launching it soon as a roller perfume and body spray!

An introduction 🤎

I wanted to share a little bit about me and how Sunstone came to be.

For the past 10 years, I owned and ran Gypsy Drifter in Ucluelet. The shop was such a huge part of my life and I learned so much from those years. It was a big chapter for me and closing was very bittersweet.

Life has changed a lot since I first opened those doors. I’m now a mama to three little ones under five, including a very busy 7-month-old and I’ve been figuring out what this next chapter looks like for me.

I’ve always been passionate about herbs, plants, and natural wellness. During pregnancy and into postpartum, I completed a Herbalist program and I’m so excited to share some of what I’ve learned with you through Sunstone.

There’s been so much happening behind the scenes and I’m very excited to launch the website soon and share the products I’ve been working on.

Thank you so much for being here, following along and supporting this new chapter.

Nikki 💛

A little Sunstone update 🌿✨

I’ve been busy being a mama lately, but I’ve also been having so much fun behind the scenes getting Sunstone ready for what’s next!

I’ll be at the Tofino Market this Saturday with some goods, and I’m getting SO close to launching the website 💛

Come say hi, have a little sniff and see what I’ve been creating!

Only 3 spots left for our Missing Curriculum July Session: Permission to Receive.

You may be incredibly capable of giving, building, creating, supporting and caring for others.

But how comfortable are you when something comes toward you?

Support.
Praise.
Rest.
Care.
Love.

Receiving isn’t passive.
It is a skill.

For many of us, it’s one we maybe weren’t ever taught or modelled. Which is why we’re going to yap about it in community!

Join us for the next session of The Missing Curriculum as we explore why receiving can feel vulnerable, what gets in the way and how to practise letting more in.

July 15 | 6–7:30 p.m. PT
Live on Zoom | $25
Registration closes soon.
Save your spot through the link in our bio.

Grateful to @thecanadianfilmlab for bringing these frames to life. There’s something so special about sending film away and getting to see the world again through slower eyes. ❤️✨
