🎃 PUMPKINS, PLAYDATES & PURE CHAOS (the fun kind, obviously). 🍂 St. Pete parents, our weekend calendar is looking a little ridiculous… in the BEST way. And apparently, October has decided we’re all going to be VERY busy. 😂 We’ve got pumpkin patches on the Pier, giant bubbles, messy play adventures, Halloween treat trails, fall festivals, outdoor markets, and even a Scooby-Doo movie night! 👻 A few things I’m especially excited about this weekend: 🎨 Painting the giant NOMADstudio Art Bus with Wonder Studio and friends! 🫧 Giant bubbles and creative chaos with Bubble Wise and Rooted in Play! 🎃 ALL the fall festivities at Boyd Hill, Spa Beach, and the St. Pete Pier! 🍬 A spooky (but not TOO spooky) treat trail at Patti Johnson Farm! 🛍️ Our favorite local markets are back, and my wallet is already nervous. And the best part? SO many of these activities are completely FREE! 🙌 Whether you’re feeling ambitious enough to hit three events before nap time or just want ONE solid reason to get everyone dressed and out the door, I’ve got you covered. 📌 SAVE this guide for when someone inevitably asks, “What are we doing this weekend?” 💌 SHARE it with your favorite parent friend who is always down for an adventure. 👇 TELL ME: Are you a pack-the-weekend-with-adventures family or a one-outing-and-back-home-by-lunch family? 📍 St. Pete + Pinellas County 🗓️ October 9–11, 2026 Follow @sunshinecitywithkids for more family-friendly fun around St. Pete and Tampa Bay! #StPeteWithKids #StPeteEvents #StPeteMoms #TampaBayKids StPeteWeekend FamilyFunTampaBay StPeteFlorida

When parents and educators share the same room, real change starts. 💛 On Saturday, parents and child care professionals joined us at Ready to Rise at The Skills Center to talk about what young children and families truly need to arrive at kindergarten ready to learn. To every parent who shared their voice and every early educator who showed up for our youngest learners: thank you. You are shaping the future of early learning in Hillsborough County. This morning wouldn’t have been possible without so many incredible partners: 🌟 Our presenting sponsor, Florida Blue, with a huge kudos to Stephen Brocato. Thank you to the Florida Blue team for a powerful presentation on how a healthy child is a child ready to learn. 🌟 Our keynote speaker, Dr. Daphne Fudge, for an inspiring message 🌟 Commissioner Myers, for speaking on the importance of voting 🌟 GTE, for sharing valuable insight on financial wellness 🌟 Carlos Valdez and his team, for supporting the event 🌟 Rooted in Play, an absolute win for our kids. We’re so grateful for the partnership! 🌟 Mel’s Munchies, for the delicious treats 🌟 The staff and crew at The Skills Center, for welcoming us so warmly What we heard on Saturday will help guide what comes next. Stay tuned as we continue building solutions with families, not just for them.

A smoothie that tastes GOOD and does GOOD?! 💚🥤✨ The new @rootedinplayorg is officially at @rollinoatstampa and it’s available ALL October! 🍌 Passion fruit + banana 🍊 Orange juice + carrot juice 🥥 Vanilla coconut milk ✨ Garden of Life collagen 💚 Spirulina + Coco Whip swirl And here’s the best part: $1 from every smoothie sold goes directly to Rooted in Play! 🙌 Rooted in Play is a Tampa Bay nonprofit working to protect childhood play by bringing free outdoor adventure playgrounds and inclusive pop-up play experiences to local parks—giving kids opportunities to build creativity, social skills, confidence, and independence through open-ended, screen-free play. So basically… you get a delicious smoothie while supporting a local business AND a local nonprofit. Win-win. 💚 We tried it and it has officially earned our stamp of approval! 👏🏼 Go grab one at Rollin’ Oats this October and let us know what you think! 🥤✨ Follow @adventurouslittlethinkers for more tasty treats and community love 😊 #tampabay #familyfriendly #nonprofit #rootedinplay #thingstodowithkids

🇪🇸 ¡Hola! 💜
