Part 4 of 4

The final part of the year made up for how shit the first part had been. I travelled up to the Lakes with my best pal Carol & we got to go canoeing in a rainbow (1) before riding the journey south again on two rykers!

I had my first exec-producer role, on a podcast which I also hosted, called Equal Too. I got to interview and work with some of my absolute heroes, including Eddie Ndopu (2) & Sinead Burke (who also exec’d).

I spent time with my wonderful goddaughter Stella and we make cakes (3).

Me and Jo had another weekend together. It was hilarious. I love her (4).

I decided to get a new tattoo (5) to mark the end of a dark period in my life. After coming out of a nasty relationship and finding my feet again (so to speak), the tattoo is like a shield. To keep me safe from assholes. It also makes me feel like I have my own back.

My godson Luca came down from Scotland to stay with me and I spoilt him rotten (6).

I started filming a new channel 4 series with two of the loveliest people (7) called “Luxury for Less”. It’s on All4 now if u wanna watch it! More episodes are coming out next year.

And then, something big happened, my amazing - and lovely - new agent Lucy helped me onto Loose Women (8) and I’ve become a bit of a regular (not officially!). It’s so fun. I still can’t say I’m a “loose woman” with a straight face though…

And then to end the year on a high, because life is short and u never know what’s around the corner, I went on holiday with a heap of the best people in my life (9)!

And I saved the very best for last, raving with my Ellie (and a seriously special crew) in Brighton. She’s been through a shit time too, and we danced solidly till 5 in the morning, just because we can!!

So, here we are. At the end of the year. Much more has happened but I think I’ve shared enough. Before I sign off for NY though, I just want to thank everyone who has followed and supported me. Being disabled can feel very isolating and hard at times, with so many ups and downs, and this community has made me feel very seen, appreciated and encouraged. Who knows what’s next but whatever happens, we can get through it together! X
