Friends, there is one 2-bedroom apartment left on Patty Moss's incredible Gems of Tuscany trip Oct 24-Nov 3, and one of you needs to book it!!

Here's what's on deck for this once-in-a-lifetime trip:

- A truffle hunt with Massimo, a third-generation hunter, and his dogs, followed by lunch at his home (pictured!)
- Dinner with Chef Daniel at @terredibaccio, cooking from the estate's gardens and pouring its own Chianti Classico
- A hands-on cooking class with Chef Mauro outside San Gimignano
- A seat at Dario Cecchini's long tables in Panzano (yes, the Dario from Chef's Table!)
- Then as if that weren't enough, 3 nights in Florence!!

You'll stay at a 16th-century villa in the Chianti hills. The apartment sleeps 2–4, so bring your partner, your sister, or your favorite eating buddy/buddies.

That's me with Patty in the Pyrenees on one of her trips a few years back. She knows all the best tour guides, things to see, do and TASTE - and then you will too!

🌱 Meet the Farms Attending Our CSA Fair! 🌱

We’re excited to introduce the incredible farms you’ll meet at our upcoming CSA Fair — all rooted in Slow Food values and committed to growing good, clean, fair food for our community.

From seasonal vegetables and pasture-raised products to honey, flowers, and seeds, these farmers are stewarding the land, supporting biodiversity, and offering CSAs that connect eaters directly to where their food comes from.

Come meet the people behind your food, learn what makes each farm unique, and find a CSA that fits your values and your table.

“Working From the Road” Marrakech, day two: another food tour! This one “Authentic Alleyways of Marrakech,” with the focus on more of the everyday foods that the Moroccans eat. We started with Soupe d’illane (millet soup) with cumin and olive oil, “believed to be good for the bones,” then the most delicious thing I ate in Marrakech: sardine meatball sandwiches (“hout quari”,) Moroccan flatbreads stuffed with meatballs made from fresh, ground sardine fillets mixed with zesty local herbs and spices, grilled to add a smokey flavor 🫠

Like yesterday, we did an olive tasting, drank Moroccan mint tea, and learned about beef tanjia (clay cooking pots similar to tagines.) This time I got adventurous and tried sheep’s head (!) and cows spleen (don’t worry, the guy who started the fire changing over the propane canister was just fine!)

“Working From the Road” Oct 2025 continued! Morocco Day One! Landed in Marrakech, worked on my (awesome!) riad’s rooftop all day, then took the first of two food tours. Walked through countless souks, tasted and learned about olives, slow cooked meat made in special cooking pots called tangias (similar to tagines), khobz (a staple round loaf) and batbout (a soft, pita-like flatbread,) mint tea, and couscous 🫠 Thanks Moroccan Food Adventures!
