One week… one week without my first baby. My first love. 💔

We grew up together for 15.5 years. You found me when I was just 20 years old looking up at me at that flea market. You changed my life forever. I am shattered. Consumed by a grief I have never known. I spent 15.5 years unable to imagine a life without you, and now here I am, somehow living it.

Maverick, you’ve been by my side through it all. You loved me through my lowest lows, my loneliest years, every relationship, every adventure. College, PT school, clinicals, moving to Nashville, meeting Curt, welcoming all our other pups, getting married, and bringing our human babies into this world. You’ve been there for every version of me. I wouldn’t have made it to this point in my life without you, and I certainly wouldn’t be who I am today without you.

I’ll forever miss those giant paws, that sweet smile, and the way you’d roll your ball to me with your nose. Playing soccer and fetch for hours. You obnoxiously shoving your ball under every piece of furniture imaginable, just so we’d have to get it for you. Your larger-than-life personality in that little body. But more than anything, I’ll miss our snuggles. I’ll miss having you beside me.

After 42 weeks of waiting, wondering, praying, and dreaming about who you would be, you’re finally here. Somehow you already feel like you’ve always belonged with us.

This first week has been slow, sleepy, tender, emotional, and so incredibly sweet. Delivery went a bit differently than planned, and we ended up in the hospital longer than we would have liked. We’re so glad to finally be home all together. 💕 We’re soaking up the newborn stretches, tiny noises, milk drunk snuggles, and watching your big brother absolutely adore you from afar. 🥹

You made us a family of four, sweet girl, and you were worth every single day we waited for you.

Happy one week earthside, Scottie Quinn. 🤍
We love you more than words could ever hold.

If you’ve noticed I’ve been a little quieter lately… I promise it hasn’t been quiet at home.

The last few months have required a lot of slowing down, resting, and trusting through some really really hard sickness. HG is no joke. In the middle of it all, we’ve been holding something very special close to our hearts. 🤍🤍

Clay is getting promoted to Big Brother, and our little rainbow baby will be joining our family in August 2026. 🌈 Let the next chapter of adventures begin 🥰.
